To say that Glee is on a roll lately would be a huge understatement: first it won a People's Choice Award, then it got picked up for a second season, and on Sunday night it took home the Golden Globe for Best TV Comedy. It's no wonder so many big names want a piece of the action, and now there are three hopefuls to add to the star-studded roster.
First up is Neil Patrick Harris!

The Glee cast could barely contain their excitement as soon as they stepped off the stage after winning their Golden Globes earlier tonight. In fact, their celebration nearly drowned out Martin Scorsese, who was backstage talking about his honors. Their joy was contagious and they all crowded into the press room to chat about how exciting it was to win.

Glee is the winner for this year's Golden Globe in the Best TV Comedy Series category! It beat out The Office, 30 Rock, Modern Family, and Entourage. I'm sure plenty of you were cheering for the freshman comedy from your living rooms, but are you surprised by the win?

This morning at the Winter TCA, I was greeted with a very exciting press release from Fox. As if there was any doubt, the network's juggernaut Glee has been secured for a second season (not to be confused with the second half of the first season, which will air in April). Fox President Kevin Reilly said, "We've loved Glee ever since it was a pilot script, so it's been an incredible thrill to watch the show take root and see audiences embrace these characters in such a huge way this season.

Glee may be in the midst of a looong hiatus, but that doesn't mean the buzz about the show is on the back burner. At the Peoples Choice Awards, the cast gave me a few hints about what's to come in the Spring, and now a probable set list for the Madonna episode has been leaked (check it out here if you're interested).
I've come to terms with the fact that spoilers are often inevitable, but Glee in particular seems to be rampant every week with what songs we can expect to see.

You guys have gotten to weigh in on your favorites in TV for 2009, and now it's my turn: this year was a revelation for small screen comedies and dramas, and I was watching it all, crying and guffawing at some blockbuster episodes. Not everything made my shortlist of favorites for the year — the ones that did, though, were the series I couldn't turn off and can't wait to see more from in 2010.
