In honor of Freaky Friday (today's Friday the 13th!), I thought I'd pull together a list of 13 freaky foods. Even if you don't have triskaidekaphobia (the fear of the number 13), you may be afraid of some of the things on this list. I know there are a bunch of other freaky things out there (how about almost anything Andrew Zimmern eats on his show?), so if you think something's missing, we want to hear it.

#13: Bubble Tea
I personally love this stuff; however, I've known quite a few folks who are freaked out by the tapioca inside of the tea. Come to think of it, I know a lot of people freaked out by tapioca in general . . .
#12: Squid ink pasta
I don't have a problem with this lovely pasta dyed with squid ink, but some find eating black pasta to be just a bit too freaky.

Tomorrow is Friday the 13th of May, and while this day is usually associated with unlucky events, it doesn't have to turn into a tech-etiquette nightmare. National Etiquette Week is coming to a close, so let's chat about the five biggest tech-etiquette mistakes you can make tomorrow, and every day of the week.

Walking or driving while texting - Not only is texting while driving illegal in most states, texting while walking is just as dangerous to you and innocent walkers around you. If you must send a text while you're on foot, pull it over to the edge of the sidewalk and wait until you click "send" to keep moving. It'll save you time, embarrassment, and possible medical bills if you happen to slip, trip, or fall down on uneven pavement.
Using your cell in the bathroom - Chitchatting while on the toilet has been labeled rude, gross, and unnecessary by our readers, and it's just plain uncomfortable to have to listen to someone's conversation while you're doing your business. Save the calls for the halls, please.

Are You Superstitious?

If you're a superstitious person, you might not want to get your hair cut today. Legend has it that if you cut your hair on Friday the 13th someone in your family will die. Want more warnings? Make sure you don't let a funeral pass you by today or you'll be next, and try not to go into labor, as a child born on Friday the 13th is said to be unlucky for life.

But like most (all?) superstitions, Friday the 13th's unlucky history is based on fiction. The 1907 novel Friday the Thirteenth about an evil businessman who attempted to sabotage the stock market on the unluckiest day of the year is responsible for today's bad rap. Are you still nervous?

What to Netflix: New DVD Tuesday

All of the new DVD releases hit stores (and Netflix) on Tuesdays. So each week in What to Netflix: New DVD Tuesday, I sort through the best of the batch and tell you what to add to your queue. In addition to my selections below you can also add Tyler Perry's Madea Goes to Jail, Everwood: Season Two, and The Secret Life of the American Teenager: Season Two to your queue.

Friday the 13th
The Friday the 13th remake was a smash hit at the box office when it debuted in theaters a little while back. The duo who brought you the Texas Chainsaw Massacre reboot, Michael Bay and Marcus Nispel, bring the creepy story of Crystal Lake back to the big screen (which you can now play on your small screen).

Here's how Netflix describes the plot: "Ignoring the warnings of the locals, a group of teenage camp counselors takes on the job of reopening Camp Crystal Lake - on Friday the 13th no less, and raise the ire of Jason Voorhees (Derek Mears), a masked, homicidal maniac."

The weather may be nice these days but many people still love watching a scary movie from the comfort of their own home. Plus, the DVD includes special features: deleted scenes and a featurette about exploring "the rebirth of Jason Voorhees for a new moviegoing era."

What Goes Up
This little indie movie looked like it had promise but unfortunately didn't fare too well with the critics. One wrote, "Jonathan Glatzer’s directorial debut What Goes Up is a quirky-small-town dramedy that just barely avoids the 'overly cutesy' and 'self-indulgently melancholy' traps that snare so many indies."

Still, I'm curious to see this movie thanks to its cast that includes Steve Coogan, Molly Shannon, Olivia Thirlby, Josh Peck, and Hilary Duff. The story takes place in the '80s and follows a reporter (Coogan) who is sent to a small town to cover the launch of the Challenger space shuttle and gets to know some troubled high school students in the process.

Burn Notice: Season Two
USA's hit series Burn Notice is back on TV this Summer but for those of you who are a little behind, you can now catch up on the second season.

The second season of this Miami-set spy show follows blacklisted super-spy Michael Westen (Jeffrey Donovan) "as he takes on all new death-defying assignments in hopes of getting closer to his new employers, the people that were possibly responsible for his ousting." The cast also includes Tricia Helfer (Battlestar Galactica) as Carla and of course Gabrielle Anwar as Michael's ex-girlfriend.

Special features include audio commentaries on select episodes, deleted scenes, a gag reel and a "NIXin' It Up" featurette with series creator Matt Nix on Episode "Do No Harm."

Box Office: Jason's Back as Audiences Make Him No. 1

The economy may be on shaky ground but you wouldn't know it by looking at the box office totals from this weekend. The Friday the 13th remake actually set records and had "the best opening ever for a horror movie in grossing an estimated $42.2 million from 3,105 theaters through Sunday." Meanwhile He's Just Not That Into You exceeded expectations by snagging the No. 2 spot over the weekend, while Liam Neeson's Taken continued to do strong box office business and came in third place. Confessions of a Shopaholic had a disappointing debut at No. 4.

Coraline rounded out the top five while Paul Blart: Mall Cop, at No. 6, became the first original January release to reach $100 million. Dang!

Finally, Clive Owen and Naomi Watts weren't enough star power to save The International from a lackluster debut. The thriller managed seventh place.

The New Friday the 13th Trailer

As was the case with The Haunting in Connecticut, another Halloween-ish movie that comes out next year, we're getting an early, seasonally-fitting look at the next Friday the 13th. The movie opens Feb. 13, 2009 and once again features our hockey masked Jason preying upon unsuspecting young people at the creepy site of Camp Crystal Lake.

The trailer includes a voiceover by Jason's mother, explaining what happened to him at the camp along with some flashes of spooky things.
