What Should I Ask Stardust Director Matthew Vaughn?
The upcoming fantasy movie Stardust first caught my eye because of the stellar cast (Michelle Pfeiffer, Robert DeNiro, Peter O'Toole, Ricky Gervais, and many others), and because of the whimsical atmosphere conveyed in the trailer. Knowing it's based on a Neil Gaiman novel only makes me more interested in the movie, which opens August 10.
Having posted a few things about the movie, I know some of you are major Gaiman fans or are otherwise seriously anticipating the film.

Let's be honest: for most of you, it doesn't matter what I — or any critics for that matter — have to say about New Moon, the incredibly anticipated sequel to last year's Twilight. On the plus side, a ticket to New Moon is a win even if you're not a Twihard — provided that you know what you're getting into.

They chatted about their characters, the vampire craze, and what it's like to be a "Twilight celebrity."
Twilight Leads the People's Choice Awards Nominations
The 36th annual People's Choice Awards nominees are here, and last year's Twilight is leading the charge! American Idol's Kris Allen was among the announcers this morning for the nominees, which also include lots of nods for The Proposal — but of course, everyone's favorite bloodsucking love story landed in many categories, including favorite on-screen movie team.

With Halloween just around the corner, October is the perfect time for movie studios to unleash their creepiest films, since we're all in the mood for a good scare. Combine with that the insatiable desire for vampire entertainment, and you've got Cirque du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant; a tween fantasy movie that plays out like R.L. Stein's Goosebumps novels on the big screen — but not nearly as scary.

Was it just me or was America's Next Top Model kind of a snooze this week? I miss the over-the-top fantasy glitz of the Cirque du Soleil or martial arts challenges. Not that the judges didn't give the models a tough task — each girl had to interview on camera for The Insider and script her own CoverGirl commercial.
