Desperate Housewives Rundown Episode 11, "Home Is the Place" I really enjoyed settling in for a night of new ABC shows and I definitely got a kick out of this week's episode of Desperate Housewives. While I like the storyline with the newfound friendship between Lee and Susan, I think my favorite part of the episode is seeing Bree get meet her control-freaky match in Alex's also redheaded mother Melina! Let's discuss.

It was nice to have some new TV to welcome in the new year so soon after the holidays, don't you think? I really enjoyed settling in for a night of new ABC shows and I definitely got a kick out of this week's episode of
Desperate Housewives. While I like the storyline with the newfound friendship between Lee and Susan, I think my favorite part of the episode is seeing Bree get meet her control-freaky match in Alex's also redheaded mother Melina!

January TV is going to be stellar, and things really kick off tonight, when
Desperate Housewives and
Brothers and Sisters return to start 2009.
Both shows left their characters in perilous places last we saw, with Desperate Housewives
revealing what was up with Dave and the littlest Brothers and Sisters character fighting for her life. From the looks of things, the drama won't be losing a step tonight, as Edie gets concerned about Dave's increasingly odd behavior, Lynette's family situation continues to get more strained, and Tommy and Kevin fight over what it means to be Elizabeth's father.
Katherine's Red Hot Smartphone on Desperate Housewives Now that Katherine is getting hot 'n heavy with Mike, it's no wonder she has a new phone to suit her lifestyle; and no I don't think the red lipstick, red blouse, and red phone were a coincidence. On a recent episode of Desperate Housewives, Katherine showed off a sexy little smartphone, the Centro by Palm.

This PDA is one of the most affordable phones on the market right now — it's
practically free!
Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry has long said he wanted to
hang around Wisteria Lane till the end of the show's seventh season. But now he seems to want to revise that plan.
TV Guide is reporting that at a ceremony today marking the show's 100th episode, Cherry said he'd actually prefer to end the show after nine seasons.
Desperate Housewives Rundown Episode 10, "A Vision's Just a Vision" The voiceover narration by Mary Alice for this week's episode of Desperate Housewives talks about the theme of people living in darkness, though I think there's another theme here, having to do with the women of Wisteria Lane protecting their families. Gaby protected Carlos from discovering how bad things had gotten for them financially, Lynette is beside herself with figuring out how to protect Porter, and Bree tries to protect Andrew from getting hurt by his partner.

Desperate Housewives Rundown Episode 9: "Me and My Town" While I thought this week's episode of Desperate Housewives is pretty good, I really missed the recent guest stars (Frances Conroy as the wealthy Virginia Hildebrand and Lily Tomlin as Mrs. McCluskey's sister Roberta)! But overall this episode — all about the immediate aftermath of the fire at the club where Blue Odyssey was playing their first show — is better than most of them, in my opinion.
