I just love this picture of Jeanne Cooper, the 79-year-old actress who just won her first Daytime Emmy Award for playing the grand dame of The Young and the Restless, Katherine Chancellor. The show has long been a staple in my family, so her win puts a smile on my face.
It also got me thinking: Are you a soap opera fan?

Ellen DeGeneres, Rachael Ray, and Jeanne Cooper were among the big winners at the Daytime Emmy Awards on Friday night. DeGeneres took home the award for Outstanding Talk Show Host for the fourth year in a row — but her show, which had won the Outstanding Talk Show prize in each of the last four years, was upset by Rachael Ray in that category.
Meanwhile, Cooper won her first Emmy at age 79 for playing Katherine Chancellor on The Young and the Restless.
