Tonight's episode of Bones on Fox features a very special guest star: Stewie Griffin. Yes, the cranky Family Guy baby steps into Booth's brain (see a preview here). I figure, if a cartoon can guest on a live-action show, there must be all sorts of other silly TV crossovers just waiting to happen. No, none of these are likely to actually show up on my screen (and, in all honesty, that's probably a good thing) - but it's amusing to joke about nonetheless.

Private Practice and Grey's Anatomy Are Crossing Over

Remember how fun it was to see Addison return to Grey's Anatomy last Spring? Well, she's coming back - and this time, she might be bringing some of her Oceanside Wellness colleagues with her.

TV Guide is reporting that Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice will have a multiepisode crossover for February sweeps. While the exact number of episodes and characters involved is still being hammered out, one certain thing is that Addison will be returning to Seattle.

It's unclear whether the plot would take place both in Seattle and in Santa Monica, but it's definitely an intriguing idea - and maybe a good reason to keep watching Private Practice! Which Grey's docs do you think would have the most interesting trips to Oceanside? And which members of the Oceanside family would you like to see rubbing elbows with the residents and attendings at Seattle Grace?

4 Reasons to Try TRX Suspension Training

It may have been developed for the Navy SEALs, but you don't have to be in secret-weapon shape to work out with TRX. The concept of the TRX suspension training is pretty basic: you use two cables on your feet or hands to partially suspend your body and use your own body weight as resistance. The muscle groups you work as well as how hard you work them all depend on the positioning of your body on the cables.

To find out more about the benefits of the workout, I spoke with Randy Hetrick, former Navy SEAL and current CEO and founder of TRX, at the unveiling of the newly expanded TRX Training Center in San Francisco, CA. If you've ever wondered about all those odd-looking straps hanging in your gym, read on to find out more about working out with TRX.

It's for anyone: So, who should do TRX? Everyone, Randy says. "People who like yoga and Pilates tend to like TRX because there are some crossovers. But it's also great for runners, cyclists, or anyone who is an endurance athlete and wants to have more strength training." Even reluctant "power lifters" are usually swayed by the workout once they see how effective it can be at building muscle, he says.
It's beginner-friendly: Another reason to try a TRX class - it's easy to tweak exercises to your own level of difficulty and ramp up when necessary. "It's all user-defined," Randy says. "You determine how hard or how easy you really want to go. So really advanced or really beginners can work out in the same class and get what's right for them."

Flux Productions Creates a Brilliant Version of the Classic American Quilt

Ever since I first ran into Ryan Greer's stand, Flux Productions, at the Brooklyn Flea Market this past May, I've been a little obsessed with his line of handcrafted leather and cork bags, bracelets, and bicycle packs. I'm far from his only admirer, either - Ryan has collaborated with Thakoon and Osborn Design - and he's also dressed Justin Bieber's backup dancers. His work has also been featured everywhere from J. Crew's blog to GQ

Flux Production's latest offering are these very cool leather and cork wall art pieces, which remind me of a classic quilt. I talked to Ryan about his inspiration for this new offering from Flux Productions, which are available in numbers of 12, 15, and 20 and will cost $120, $150, or $190, respectively, for the sets. Currently, there's one listing for a set of 15 availble.

CasaSugar: What was your inspiration for this new project?

Ryan Greer: I'm very interested in old textiles and woven rugs and the new project seemed like a good opportunity to create something that referenced traditional quilt and rug patterns while using materials that have a more masculine, industrial feel (leather and cork).

Digit-al Love: Charlie Le Mindu Makes Clothing From Faux Nails

Designer and hairstylist Charlie Le Mindu's shows usually focus on absurd and whimsical hair, but this year he's collaborated with Minx to take his beauty/fashion crossover to a whole new level. Pieces in his Spring 2012 collection were made out of Kiss fake nails covered in custom Minx patterns that were accented with blue or black hair. This hooded viper headpiece made of nails and braided hair is the sort of thing that's unthinkable for most designers, but in the avant-garde world of Le Mindu, anything goes. Spotted: Community's Abed Pops Up on Cougar Town!

The Cougar Town/Community cameo cycle is complete! After Travis and Laurie showed up in the season finale of Community a couple of weeks ago, on this week's season finale of Cougar Town, Abed crashes a scene of the two of them. Watch as the characters dine al fresco and talk about Travis's life, as Abed looks on, engrossed in his eavesdropping. I love the mutual crossover, but if this ever happens again, can we get some intershow dialogue? It might blow my mind.

The Secret Circle's Mythology Isn't the Same as The Vampire Diaries

If you look forward to The Vampire Diaries every week, we may have found your second favorite show. The Secret Circle is debuting on the CW this Fall after Diaries, and not only is the witchcraft series also based on books written by the same author (L.J. Smith), it has the same creator in Kevin Williamson. He stopped by TCA today, along with the show's producers and stars Britt Robertson, Thomas Dekker, Gale Harold, and Natasha Henstridge. The cast and showrunners talked about its parallels (and big differences) to The Vampire Diaries and why there probably won't be a crossover episode.

Williamson talked about adapting L.J. Smith's novels, and said that he likes her as a writer because she "taps into the stuff that I love, the coming of age and teen angst and then mixes it with genre." He gleefully listed off the elements Smith uses, like betrayal, deceit, friendship, loyalty, mayhem, and said, "All that is my happy place." When asked whether there would be an inevitable crossover episode, Williamson said he didn't know if we'll ever see one for a couple of reasons. First, he was insistent that The Secret Circle look like its own show and "be in its own world," and perhaps more importantly, he said that the witchcraft mythology in The Secret Circle doesn't connect to the mythology in The Vampire Diaries.
Robertson plays Cassie, a girl who discovers she's a witch and gets recruited by other teen witches to join the titular secret circle. Cassie, like Robertson's previous character Lux on Life Unexpected, struggles to adjust to living in a new town, and Robertson said she can relate to that feeling because she's also had to move around a lot as an actress. Cassie's character finds a place, though; Robertson says that "the circle ends up being her pseudo-family . . . for a while."
