Forest Whitaker is the latest movie star to move to the small screen. Even though he's had a few guest runs (most notably on ER and The Shield), the actor is now reportedly in final negotiations to star in a spinoff of CBS's Criminal Minds.
The new series will focus on "a new group of profilers who work outside the FBI bureaucracy."

The network that airs the Super Bowl can try to give one of its shows a ratings boost with prime placement immediately after the big game. (It's what vaulted "Grey's Anatomy" into the spotlight last year.) This year, CBS has chosen "Criminal Minds," a drama about a group of elite FBI agents (led by Mandy Patinkin's Jason Gideon) whose unravel the behavior of notorious criminals and stop them before their next strike.
James Van Der Beek (aka Dawson) guest-stars on Sunday's episode, which focuses on a serial killer or killers who quote Bible passages before murdering their victims.

Nothing's been set in stone yet, but rumors are flying that Tim Burton is in talks to make a live action movie about Maleficent, aka Sleeping Beauty's villainess. The movie would tell the story we all know and love, but from the evil fairy's point of view.
Turning a fairy tale on its head isn't a new idea by any means, but it's always fun to envision a more developed backstory for some of history's most vile (and seemingly one-dimensional) bad guys.
