Valentine's Day is just around the corner, so you know what that means: time for your favorite TV characters to get in the mushy spirit. The holiday is perfect fodder for some of the best sitcoms, so prepare yourself for dates gone awry, bizarre love confessions, and the like. ABC Picks Up Cougar Town, Modern Family, and The Middle for Second Seasons
Following yesterday's news about another order for Glee, comes word from the Winter TCA this morning that ABC has ordered second seasons of The Middle, Modern Family (more Phil!), and Cougar Town.
As a fan of the Wednesday comedy lineup, I'm psyched to see all of the shows remain intact, and especially happy for Courteney Cox for proving that she's more than just a one-hit-show wonder. Congrats all!

What's Your Favorite New Fall TV Comedy?
By now, all the pilots for the most anticipated new shows have premiered, and I've already picked my faves and permanent TiVo residents. There have been some really strong freshmen comedy shows that run the gamut from romantic, musical, slapstick to pregnancy, including Glee, Modern Family, Cougar Town, Community, Accidentally on Purpose, and Bored to Death.

TV Tonight: Cougar Town, Modern Family and Eastwick
It's a big night for ABC — the network is premiering three shows tonight including half of their new Wednesday block of comedy. Hank and The Middle will take over the 8 o'clock hour next week, but tonight brings a few shows I'm actually pretty excited about. First up is Modern Family which is one of my favorite new comedies and after you watch you'll see why we've been saying "Why the face?"
