Tonight's episode of Bones on Fox features a very special guest star: Stewie Griffin. Yes, the cranky Family Guy baby steps into Booth's brain (see a preview here). I figure, if a cartoon can guest on a live-action show, there must be all sorts of other silly TV crossovers just waiting to happen.

It's a big night on Fox tonight, as each of the network's dramas pulls out all the stops for the final Tuesday of sweeps. House puts the Survivor-style plot line to rest when Dr. House announces his hiring decision, and Bones takes romantic tension to a new level with a kiss between Bones and Booth.

It's Tuesday, which means that not only is your Netflix queue getting a shot in the arm, so is your iPod: I've checked out today's new music releases and have some advice for you on what you should download today.
Hipster Halloween Party: I'm pretty shocked by how much I'm enjoying the self-titled debut album from Dead Man's Bones, AKA the band that Ryan Gosling is in. The "goth-folk" concept sounds too campy to work; Gosling and his bandmate Zach Shields have compiled an entire album of creepy-themed tracks, finding inspiration in zombies and werewolves.

Earlier this week, I gave the Dead Man's Bones debut album a listen. You may not recognize the band name, but you probably recognize the frontman: it's actor Ryan Gosling. I'm a big Gosling fan, but I wasn't expecting his music to have any substance, or for me to actually like it.

The trailer for Crazy Heart notes that both stars Jeff Bridges and Maggie Gyllenhaal have been nominated for Oscars, and the solemn, raw tone of the film looks an awful lot like awards show bait for these two big talents. Jeff Bridges stars as Bad Blake, a grizzled, hard-livin', lovin', and drinkin' country singer/songwriter who's known for his amazing music, and Maggie Gyllenhaal plays the journalist he eventually falls for.
We don't see a ton of plot in the trailer, but the story seems like a familiar one, complete with introspection and a soft country anthem that fits the title.
