Looks like we're not the only ones drooling over baby birthday cakes! Lauren shared this delicious look at her niece's first birthday cake and cupcakes in our Kiddie Soirees group.

My SIL is immensely talented in the cake and cupcake department! For my niece's first birthday, they threw an Alice in Wonderland-themed tea party. The decorations were simple with hanging paper lanterns, drinks marked Drink Me, and, of course, a bunch of red roses. For the cake, she made a pink polka dot mini cake just for my niece and for the guests we ate rabbit down the hole cupcakes!

Alice in Wonderland

While it may not be my favorite of Tim Burton's movies, this re-imagining of the classic tale leaves you with plenty of scenery to ogle. There are a few fun, colorful characters, particularly Helena Bonham Carter's Red Queen who frankly steals the show. Watch it for her or if you're a Johnny Depp aficionado. You may not be able to see Depp's good looks underneath his Mad Hatter hat, but you'll marvel at his brilliance just the same. Bonus extras include three behind-the-scenes featurettes.

The Wolfman

Be forewarned: this is not the movie to see if you have a queasy stomach. Full of gouged eyes and entrails, The Wolfman is heavy on the gross factor - and not nearly as scary as one might hope. The thin plot follows Lawrence (Benicio Del Toro) returning to see his father (Anthony Hopkins) after a mysterious animal attack (read: werewolf) kills his brother. Emily Blunt does her best scream, but the all-star group of actors can't save this film from its script. That said, if you're the type who prefers to laugh at your horror flicks, then you might consider giving it a spin. The DVD includes a director's cut if you want to see a different version of the movie (perhaps it's better?).

This morning I gave you a little taste of the nominees for the 2010 MTV Movie Awards with the Best Kiss contenders, but now the full list is out! Naturally, the Twilight kids are all over these categories, but New Moon also gets some lofty competition from movies like The Hangover, The Proposal, and Avatar. Box Office: Clash of the Titans Slays the Competition

Seems that the gods are mighty hard to defeat. The remake of Clash of the Titans took charge of the weekend's box office, bringing in a hefty $61.4 million for first place. Even Tyler Perry who usually earns the top spot with his films proved to be no match. His Why Did I Get Married Too? came in second with $30.1 million.

Last week's winner How to Train Your Dragon bumped down a couple of notches to No. 3 with $29.2 million, while Miley Cyrus's The Last Song took fourth with $16.2 million. Keep in mind, however, that since The Last Song debuted on Wednesday, its actual five-day total is around $25.6 million. Finishing out the top five with $8.2 million was Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland.
