Tonight's premiere of Fringe got me thinking about creator/executive producer JJ Abrams and his pretty stellar track record on television.
In the past decade, Abrams has created or co-created four shows (Felicity, Alias, Lost, and now Fringe) and executive-produced two others (Six Degrees and What About Brian). Many of those shows had ratings success and/or significant buzz, and all of them (well, except maybe Six Degrees) had vocal fan followings.

Tonight, Glee will continue its reign of guest appearances with a visit from Neil Patrick Harris, and as an added bonus, the episode was directed by Buffy/Dollhouse/Firefly creator Joss Whedon. (To boot, Whedon and Harris are old buddies thanks to Dr. Horrible). Personally, I can't wait to hear NPH show off those vocal chords again, and Whedon jumped on a conference call with reporters to chat about what other surprises are in store.

Before the writers' strike essentially halted new television, the charming Samantha Who? was one of the TV season's breakout hits.
