What Was Your Favorite WB Show?

The WB network, once home of greats like Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Dawson's Creek, met its demise in 2006 when the CW was formed. But starting next month, the WB will be revived - this time as a website that will stream classic WB series and new content from producers including Josh Schwartz and McG.

It's not clear yet exactly which shows will end up on the site (I'm assuming the popular ones are a lock - but what about the short-lived ones like Grosse Point?) The site will also show series produced by Warner Bros. Television that aired on other networks, including Friends and The OC. I'm most excited about having Dawson's Creek and the other shows of my teen years at my fingertips any time I want.

That got me thinking: Which show from the heyday of the WB was your favorite?

Specializing in all things geek - including science experiments gone awry, dystopias, and alien attacks - Tim Burton's morose imagination and kooky humor keeps his fans coming back for more. Opening today is his latest venture, Dark Shadows. The flick is a reboot of the '60s-era TV show, starring Tim's muse Johnny Depp as a vampire who ends up in the disco era with his dysfunctional descendants. To celebrate his quirkiest creations, we've rounded up geek favorites from Tim's 17 years of film-making.

Dark Shadows: Should Have Stayed Buried

Bringing back a 1960s TV series about a vampire sounds like a perfect job for director Tim Burton, who became a modern master of cinematic goth with movies like Batman, The Nightmare Before Christmas, and Sleepy Hollow. But even with star and frequent collaborator Johnny Depp, the film adaptation of Dark Shadows fails to live up to Burton's previous work. Sadly, it feels more like a lazy, scattered project from someone trying to imitate Burton's style.

Depp stars as Barnabus Collins, a man who is turned into a vampire in the late 1700s by Angelique (Eva Green), a witch whose heart he has broken. After his loved ones are killed by Angelique, Barnabus is buried for 200 years until he's accidentally dug up. Back in his mansion in the 1970s, he gets acquainted with the existing Collins clan (including Michelle Pfeiffer and Chloë Grace Moretz), and sets about building a relationship with them, reinvigorating the family business, and going head-to-head with Angelique - who's been thriving for centuries. There's certainly a lot going on in, but none of it is compelling enough to make a satisfying movie.

Last week we learned that Ian Somerhalder has his eye on the part of Christian Grey in the big-screen adaption of Fifty Shades of Grey. This week, it looks like he's got some competition, fellow member of the TV undead, Alexander Skarsgard. Rumors about the casting piqued your interest, and we were curious to hear what you had to say on the Ian vs. Alexander debate of 2012. 6 Stylish Flicks We're Excited to See This Summer

Along with sunnier days, sandal fever, and a whole lot of iced coffee, we're looking forward to the season's onslaught of silver-screen blockbusters and indie films and, of course, the inspiring movie fashion that comes with it. More specifically, we're dying to see what Penelope Cruz will be wearing (aside from that sexy little red minidress) in Woody Allen's To Rome With Love, how Michelle Williams could possibly make us fall in love with her laid-back gamine style even more in Take This Waltz, or what Chloë Moretz's '70s ensembles will look like in Tim Burton's zany Dark Shadows. Just like our affinity to TV fashion, we love watching our favorite celebs transform into their onscreen characters, personality, panache, and all. From the looks of this Summer's movie lineup, we're in for indie-cool separates, Italian vacation wares, and corseted costume drama. Morning Movie Streaming News: Facebook and Netflix

Earlier this month, Facebook announced a partnership with Warner Bros. that allow members to stream select full-length movies through each movie's official Facebook fan page for just $3. At the time, only one title was made available - The Dark Knight - but now, Warner Bros. is releasing five more titles for your movie-watching pleasure.

Starting at 10 p.m. PST, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Inception, Life as We Know It, and Yogi Bear will be available to rent and stream for 30 Facebook credits ($3). Users will have up to 48 hours to tune in and will still have access to Facebook updates, news feeds, and more while watching. Have any of you streamed The Dark Knight via Facebook? Zac Efron Talks About His Tattoos and Physical Transformation For The Lucky One

When I visited the Louisiana set of The Lucky One, which is out April 20, I had a chance to chat with star Zac Efron about the Nicholas Sparks adaptation with a few other reporters. Efron plays Logan, who falls for a girl (Taylor Schilling) he finds after first seeing her in a photo, so when we sat down with the actor, he talked about being able to relate to that kind of romantic gesture. His character is also a former Marine, prompting Efron to put on weight and a slew of tattoos to look the part. Read on to see what Efron had to say about the fake tattoos, why meeting real Marines was so awkward for him, and why he was so impressed with his leading lady.

Logan walks across the country to find a woman; would you ever do something like that?
ZE: I guess this is my chance to do it without actually having to do it. I like the idea of this guy, I wish I was like him. So I figured I wanted to play him.

What did you to do to prep to play a former Marine?
ZE: I found this channel on TV, the Military Channel. That's probably one of the coolest things that I stumbled upon. It was a total accident, I walked into my room, and it was a Navy SEAL, their boot camp, that they were going through. And it was really in depth, watching them go through just the most basic training. There was always a part of me deep down that thought, if it came down to it, I could pass. I could make it through basic training, I could do it. And after watching these things I realized there's no way I could do it . . . subject myself to that. They're a different caliber of man than me.

5 Movies We'd Like to Play On Kinect

Our long wait for the Kinect Star Wars game is finally over! Landing on store shelves today, non-Jedis can now use the Force to battle Darth Vader himself, fly through pod races, and dance the Clone War battles away in groovin' competitions.

After months of waiting, we're excited for the motion-based Star Wars game, but it has us wondering what other movies would make thrilling Kinect games. We're adding these movies to our Kinect dream list; what movie would you like to play a part of in Kinect?

Harry Potter - There's an amusement park in Florida and a studio tour in London, but for fans that can't travel to these destinations, casting spells and vanquishing Dementors the Kinect way would be just as wizardly.
The Hunger Games - A story with the premise of adolescents killing other adolescents as part of a nationwide reality TV show is disturbing, and any video game would be just as gruesome to imagine. However, just the talents exhibited by Katniss, like archery and hunting, could make for interesting interactive role-play.
Lord of the Rings - Enter Mordor? No problem in Kinect form! If you've read all the books and obsessively watched all the movies, a Kinect game of the hobbits' journey is the last step in a complete Middle Earth adventure.

The Lucky One Set Visit: Zac Efron and His Costars Talk Louisiana and Love Interests

In The Lucky One, an adaptation of Nicholas Sparks's novel, Zac Efron stars as Logan, a former marine who moves to a North Carolina town to look for a woman he only knows from a photograph. When he tracks single mom Beth (Taylor Schilling) down, he has a hard time confessing that her picture was his lucky charm during combat, but finds himself falling for her. I got to visit the set of the romantic drama in Covington, LA (standing in for the fictional seaside town of Hampton, NC), with a group of reporters during filming to chat with stars Efron, Schilling, and Blythe Danner, who plays Beth's grandmother.

In addition to interviewing the actors, we also watched a scene as it was filmed. We were treated to a particularly interesting scene when actor Jay R. Ferguson (Stan Rizzo on Mad Men), who plays Beth's jealous ex, drunkenly confronts Logan at the farmers market. We watched Ferguson obnoxiously yelling at Efron, and when I recently saw a screening of the film, I was excited to see that that scene precedes a tense, pivotal moment.

When I chatted with Efron, Danner, and Schilling, the actors talked how much they liked their costars, whether they'd been Nicholas Sparks fans, and their appreciation for all things Louisiana - especially the food.
