What to Netflix: New DVD Tuesday
All of the new DVD releases hit stores (and Netflix) on Tuesdays. So each week in What to Netflix: New DVD Tuesday, I sort through the best of the batch and tell you what to add to your queue. In addition to the titles below you can now rent the Diane Lane thriller Untraceable, Francis Ford Coppola's Youth Without Youth, and Mad Money.
Box Office: Spartans Defeat Rambo
The 300 spoof movie Meet the Spartans took the box office crown this weekend, just barely edging out the latest Rambo for first place. Still, Rambo's numbers are encouraging to studio heads, who appear to be "thinking about reviving Rambo as a franchise." According to Variety, Harvey Weinstein remarked, "Based on these numbers, there should be another one."
Movie Preview: Untraceable
Whether or not this is great in execution, the story idea for Untraceable is pretty darn scary. The movie follows a serial killer who posts video of his victims as he tortures them to death on his website KillWithMe.com. The more people that view the site, the faster the person dies.
