I watched part of the premiere of True Beauty last night, the new reality television show about a beauty contest with a twist. What the contestants don't know is that in addition to their outer beauty, they'll be judged on their "inner beauty," too. They brought in a "scientist" to measure the contestants' body parts and features to determine where in the good looks range they were. Secret etiquette and ethics challenges will determine their "inner beauty." This show is going to be a real winner . . .

Mix one part Top Model with another part Punk'd and you get True Beauty, a reality show debuting tonight. Grown from the fertile minds of Ashton Kutcher and Tyra Banks, the show appears to be a typical beauty competition - at least, that's what the contestants think. While they preen and brag about their looks, hidden cameras are recording their every action. Cheryl Tiegs, Nolé Marin, and Vanessa Minnillo then judge the contestants not on their appearance, but on their "inner beauty." Take a look, and let me know if you'll be checking it out tonight.

Reality Roundup: Game Show in My Head, True Beauty, 13

American Idol's still the biggest thing on TV, but it's not the only reality show hitting the airwaves in January. Lots of new reality shows are starting up next month, and here, I've got previews for three of the biggies.

Ashton Kutcher is behind two of these shows, ABC's True Beauty and CBS's Game Show in my Head. For True Beauty, which premieres Jan. 5, Kutcher has teamed up with Tyra Banks for a show that's attempting to find the person out of 10 gorgeous contestants (models, pageant queens, and the like) who's the most beautiful both inside and out. The twist: The contestants don't know the "inner beauty" part of the game, which will be judged from secret footage by Vanessa Minnillo, Cheryl Tiegs, and Nole Marin. That show premieres Jan. 5.

Game Show is more classic Kutcher in the Punk'd/Wedding Crashers style: Contestants are sent out into the world wearing an earpiece and told to perform ridiculous actions (wear only underwear and get people to give you their clothes; act like you're a hospital patient who just escaped) for the chance to win cash. Its first two episodes air Jan. 2. And then there's 13: Fear is Real, a horror movie-style reality show from director Sam Raimi. The 13 contestants will be shipped off to a spooky forest where they'll be pitted against each other in challenges straight from horror movies; the weakest links will "die" until only one person remains (I have to assume no actual death is involved). Its visual style is vaguely Blair Witch Project, and I'm amused by the fact that the winner gets $66,666. That one premieres Jan. 7. Safe House: A Standout Thriller

While working for the CIA may seem like a dream job, Matt Weston's (Ryan Reynolds) current position at a Safe House is certainly no picnic. He's a new agent, stationed alone in South Africa, waiting for the chance that he will have a "house guest" (someone who is taken prisoner by the CIA.) Matt's desperately trying to get some field experience so he can be stationed in some other city where he can see a little action. After a year of boredom, his wish comes true when Tobin Frost (Denzel Washington) arrives.

I was constantly on the edge of my seat throughout the film, and felt everyone in the theater being equally enraptured with what was unraveling before our eyes. Safe House has high-stakes moments cut with sardonic, nonchalant comedy that Reynolds and Washington both pull off nicely. I felt connected to everyone's struggles, but the plot kept me unsure if I wanted the good guy or the bad guy to come out on top. Hunger Games Beauty: Get Katniss's Opening Ceremonies Look

Every time a new image is released from The Hunger Games, fans react like it's a gift from their sponsor flying in by silver parachute. (If you don't know what that means, you still have 55 days to read the book before the premiere.

But we have to admit, even we squealed a bit over this new picture, which shows Katniss before the chariot ride in the opening ceremonies. Her dress, which earns her the nickname "Girl on Fire," is amazing; but what we're really impressed with is the smoldering makeup. In the book, Katniss describes her face in this scene as "relatively clear of makeup, just a bit of highlighting here and there." But from the looks of the photo, makeup artist Ve Neill either didn't read the book (we're guessing probably not so likely) or took some creative license (and we don't mind!). Rachel Weisz Latest Star to Get Banned by the ASA

What do Julia Roberts, Christy Turlington, and Twiggy have in common? They've all been the subjects of the UK's tougher-than-nails Advertising Standards Authority. And now, Rachel Weisz is a member of the exclusive group, as earlier today the ASA banned an ad featuring the star because it "misleadingly exaggerated the performance of the product [L'Oréal's Revitalift Repair 10]."

According to the regulatory agency, the magazine advertisement had "been altered in a way that substantially changed her complexion to make it appear smoother and more even." Not surprisingly, L'Oréal was disappointed with the ruling.

While the beauty brand admits to shooting Rachel with soft focus, low resolution, and plenty of lighting, it still stands behind its ad. "We believe that the image in the advertisement is a true representation of Rachel Weisz," a representative said in a statement. "The product claims are based on extensive scientific research which proved that the product improves 10 different signs of skin aging." It's a slap on the wrist for L'Oréal, but do you think the postproduction was taken too far?

Alberta Ferretti Is the Next Designer For Macy's

Macy's designer collaborations are still going strong and its latest team-up is sure to leave a lot of fashion girls excited. Up next to design a collection for Macy"s Impulse line is Alberta Ferretti. A favorite amongst the Hollywood red-carpet crowd - her signature designs have been worn by the likes of Eva Mendes, Camilla Belle, Lea Michele, and Drew Barrymore to name a few - Ferretti is known for her gorgeous diaphanous red-carpet-worthy gowns, and a line for Macy's sounds promising. “The collection I created is fresh and bright, featuring light summer clothing that evokes the spirit of my beautiful country and is at the same time true to my style,” said Ferretti. The 30-piece Alberta Ferretti for Macy's collection , slated to launch April 17, will include a range of feminine dresses, peasant blouses, garden party looks, and floral prints made out of chiffon and voile.
