Matthew Bomer Looks Well-Suited For His White Collar Mid-Season Finale

White Collar stars Matthew Bomer, Tim DeKay, and Hilarie Burton hit their marks and delivered lines on location in NYC yesterday. The series is currently building up to its mid-season finale set to air next Tuesday, Aug. 9. White Collar will return in early 2012 with exciting upcoming cameos from guests like True Blood's Joe Manganiello. Fans of the show will be excited to see more of Matt on the big screen soon. He's starring opposite Justin Timberlake and Amanda Seyfried in the upcoming futuristic, Fall thriller In Time, though we'll have to wait and see if we get another glimpse of Matt's six-pack abs when the movie comes out.

Babies, Bomer, and a Cameo From True Blood's Joe Manganiello on the Set of White Collar

It was an action-packed afternoon on the set of White Collar in NYC today. True Blood's Joe Manganiello left his werewolf alter ego back in Bon Temps, LA, and yielded a gun for an intense looking shoot-out alongside series regular Tim Dekay. It's been an exciting few week for Joe with True Blood premiering its fourth season on Sunday and Joe's shirtless GQ spread. You can catch more of Joe this Summer on his HBO drama, but you'll have to wait until January to watch his White Collar episode. Matt Bomer managed to keep himself out of harms way while bullets were flying, though he did slip into a perfectly tailored suit for his own batch of scenes. Tiffani Thiessen had a special visitor on the set as well, taking a break with daughter Harper Smith who just turned 1 on June 15.

Tiffani Thiessen joined her White Collar costars, including the great-looking Matthew Bomer, in LA last night for a panel at the Paley Center for Media. She, Matthew, and the rest of their cast took the stage to share their experiences working on the show, saying that they love the smart scripts and their ability to film on the streets of NYC. Season two comes to a conclusion with tonight's show, and the finale promises to deliver twists, turns, and a special appearance from Andrew McCarthy. Matthew has been busy with his big screen work as well, shooting Now alongside Justin Timberlake and Amanda Seyfried. Tiffani has her hands full too, as playing with nine-month-old daughter Harper happily takes up lots of her time.

Tiffani Thiessen hosted her husband Brady Smith and their two-month-old daughter, Harper, on the NYC set of White Collar on Monday. The new parents debuted their bundle of joy last month in People magazine, and since then Tiffani's been busy tweeting updates on her "little cutie patootie." She took a few weeks off following Harper's birth, and now Tiffani is back to work with her costars Matt Bomer, Tim DeKay, and Willie Garson. Harper's still an infant, but it seems like Tiffani is already sticking to her promise to bring her daughter to work.

First Look: White Collar

From Traveler to Chuck, Matthew Bomer has the mysterious, slick, small-screen action star thing down. So I'm excited to get a glimpse of the former Bryce Larkin in his next role, as a criminal turned crimefighter in USA's White Collar.

The concept of White Collar seems to fit pretty well with a couple of other recent USA series, especially In Plain Sight and Burn Notice. Bomer plays Neal Caffrey, a cunning criminal who falls prey to an FBI agent (Tim DeKay) who's been his nemesis for years. He escapes from a maximum security prison, and though he's eventually caught, he comes up with a suggestion that would keep him from being behind bars: He offers his services to help the FBI track down other criminals like himself.

Tiffani Thiessen helps round out the cast. White Collar will air 13 episodes in its first season, which starts in the Fall. Are you interested in giving it a try? To watch the preview,

Tell Me How You Feel about "Tell Me You Love Me"

HBO's "Tell Me You Love Me" premiered last Sunday, but the ratings didn't live up to the hype - much of which focused on the "is it or isn't it real?" debate about the sex in the show. I'm surprised so few people tuned in, because when I finally watched "Tell Me," I found that it had a lot more going on than graphic bedroom antics (though those were certainly present). The show is a gritty, bleak look at intimacy and love, and at times it's almost hard to watch. It does have its graphic elements, but it's also surprisingly sensitive and realistic, and I'm planning to stick with it through the rest of the season.
