The Heartbreak Kid's so-so box office showing over its opening weekend has caused some people to wonder about the relevance of the Farrelly Brothers these days. It does seem to be the Age of Apatow, and perhaps the Farrelly Brothers' particular brand of comedy is something of the past. Yet their movies undeniably appeal to some people, and I myself have really enjoyed a few of them.

What about you? Which of the Farrelly Brothers' flicks have you liked the most? (I'm going to go ahead and leave off some of their less popular titles, like Shallow Hal.)

SAG Awards Producer Kathy Connell Says Watching the Show Is "Like Being at a Private Party"

The Screen Actors Guild Awards air this Sunday, and the folks behind the show are just as excited about the night as the A-list nominees are. I chatted with SAG Awards producer Kathy Connell about why this year's broadcast will be worth watching, how these particular awards are different, and why you should never refer to them as "SAGs."

BuzzSugar: What fun things do we have to look forward to on Sunday?
Kathy Connell: We have the best lineup of presenters that I am so amazingly proud of. Our lineup of presenters is staggering. And the highlight will be the Lifetime Achievement Award to Mary Tyler Moore that's being given by Dick Van Dyke.

Buzz: With all the award shows, what's different about the SAG Awards that would make people tune in?
KC: Well, because the actors are talking to each other. It's sort of like being at a private party. There are actors as far as the eye can see; when an actor gets on that stage, all they can see are other actors. You look down and see Meryl Streep's over here, and George Clooney's over there, and Brad Pitt's over there. It's pretty daunting when you hit that stage and you look down. I always warn, particularly the Life Achievement people, [that] when they hit that stage, it's going to become emotional, because as far as they can see, there are their peers acknowledging them. And that's true of every actor who wins our statue, which is known as "The Actor."

Hangover Cures That Work (and Ones That Don't)

You know you shouldn't, but sometimes a girl just can't help herself. You plan to meet up with friends for a drink after work, and one drink turns into many more, which then turns into a rough next morning. We hope you don't have a hangover reading this, because we bring you some not-so-good news. "There are a lot of myths about hangover cures," says Ruth C. Engs, RN, EdD, a professor at Indiana University who has done extensive research on the effects of drinking. "Essentially there is no cure other than consuming water and liquids like juice (i.e., not spiked) in the morning." The reason? Hangover symptoms are a product of dehydration, hypoglycemia, and the poisonous side effects from toxins in our drinks (sounds great, right?). Water will not only help hydrate your muscles and organs, but will also aid in flushing out the toxins. Juices such as orange juice accomplish both while replenishing your body with missing sugars.

That said, if you swear by a bacon, egg, and cheese bagel or a five-mile run after a night out on the town, you're not alone. We got the scoop on which remedies seem to prove real, and which ones are just part of the rumor mill.

The Muppets: Most Sensational, Inspirational, and Celebrational

It would have been easy to make a new version of The Muppets that relied solely on nostalgia. Just having Kermit and the gang show up to sing some songs would have been fun, but cowriters Jason Segel and Nicholas Stoller have done so much more than that. With a story that appeals to a new generation while still summoning up the magic of the classic characters, they've revived the franchise and created a funny, emotionally rich movie. The film follows Segel as Gary, a sweet everyman taking his girlfriend Mary (Amy Adams) and brother Walter (who happens to be a Muppet) on vacation to Los Angeles. Walter and Gary are huge Muppets fans, so they visit the old theater in LA, but they discover that it's a decrepit structure that's about to get torn down by nefarious oil magnate Tex Richman (Chris Cooper).

Walter and Gary want to warn the Muppets about Richman, but there's one big problem: the gang has split up, which means Gary and Walter have to track them down. Things get really fun as we're re-introduced to the Muppets in their new lives; some have important careers, some are down and out, some are in therapy. It's a clever way of bringing the characters up to date while also acknowledging that the Muppets aren't as popular as they once were. That kind of self-awareness is pervasive and very funny, and with so much humor and a ton of celebrity cameos, The Muppets is a wonderfully sweet comedy that's both loyal to Jim Henson's original intent and updated for modern audiences. We Talk to Christian Louboutin About Future Collaborations, Blake Lively, and More

Safe to say, everyone loves Christian Louboutin's sexy red soles. Last night, the designer celebrated his new self-titled book, Christian Louboutin, at Barneys in a sea of beautiful shoes and celebrities like Blake Lively, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, and China Chow. We got the opportunity to speak to the designer at the event - if there's anyone to get shoe advice from, it's Mr. Louboutin - about his Fall/Winter shoe must have, exciting upcoming collaborations, and whether he thinks Blake Lively would be the perfect star to represent his brand. Listen up to what he has to say:

FS: Blake Lively is known as an enormous fan of your shoes - even buying 40 pairs at a time. Do you think she's a perfect star to represent your line?
CL: Yes, not only is she beautiful, she is very talented and she's very smart. One of the things that is most important for women and men, at least for me, is intelligence. Through a lot of things, she has proved that she is really intelligent and she also has this natural beauty and this natural way of moving which makes her absolutely a great image.

FS: What shoe are you dying to see on every woman's foot this season?
CL: A beautiful low-cut pump. Low-cut in the front and almost the color of your skin so it can completely disappear or in black so you can wear it with different colors.

FS: If you weren't a shoe designer, what would you be?
CL: I would be a scriptwriter because one of my favorite things to do is to stay in a place where no one recognizes me and just sit and listen to conversation around me. That's always been one of my favorite things to do; sitting in restaurants by myself and listening to conversations. I actually did write a script, it was a long story but there was no shoes inside.

4 Concerns About the Dumb and Dumber Sequel

Although Dumb and Dumber is one of my all-time favorite movies, the news that a Dumb and Dumber sequel is moving forward doesn't make me happy; it just makes me cringe. Writers have been hired for the script of the follow-up to the '90s comedy starring Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels, though neither of them have officially committed to it yet. I won't worry too much until the actors sign on, but I still have some concerns.

It's been too long since the original. Carrey and Daniels were in their 30s when they played Harry and Lloyd in the 1994 film, but Carrey is 49 and Daniels is 55 now. While I'm positive that they'd still have great comedic chemistry, seeing two men in their 50s acting that stupid may not be so funny anymore - it may just be sad.
The Farrelly brothers have lost their touch. Dumb and Dumber was the first film by the Farrelly brothers, and arguably their best. They were at the top of their game in the '90s with other hits like There's Something About Mary, but their last few films like Hall Pass and The Heartbreak Kid come nowhere near replicating the quality of their earlier work.
They already tried to make another movie, and it didn't work. I know that Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd is technically a prequel, but filmmakers tried to get lightning to strike twice with their installment about a young Harry and Lloyd, and it didn't happen. It wasn't as funny or good (partially due to the fact that Carrey and Daniels didn't appear at all), so I don't have a lot of faith that future movies will do justice to the franchise.
A bad sequel could detract from the enjoyment of the first movie. Can the sequel top bits like the "soup du jour" or "Samsonite" jokes? Can it even hope to come close? Bottom line: I don't want a subpar film sullying the good name of the hilarious original.
