New Music: Listen to The Virgins on AOL Today

After an introduction to the world via Gossip Girl last Fall, The Virgins have arrived with their first self-titled album today, and it's a lot of fun. The quartet hails from New York City and infuses pop melodies with a punky-sounding bass and guitar. Singer Donald Cummings' distinctive voice gives each song a little more of an edge than you might expect.

It's the kind of music DJs will have fun mixing in clubs, I bet, and I could picture their tunes being used to back up runway strutting during Fashion Week. Five Songs by The Virgins to Be Featured on Gossip Girl Tonight

Music Supervisor Alexandra Patsavas is trucking right along on her crusade to bring cool music to the TV-watching masses. Tonight's episode of Gossip Girl, titled "Seventeen Candles" on account of Blair's seventeenth birthday, will feature five songs by New York band The Virgins. That's a good number of songs by the same band to be played in one episode! These dudes will probably be household names in little time.

Until tonight you can download the song "Love Is Colder Than Death" and I would definitely recommend doing so. The song has a boppy, '80s-style thing going on that I'm really digging. So, well played, Patsavas: Now I'm going to have to buy their EP! Tune in tonight to hear the other songs, and let me know what you think of the Virgins' totally sweet Gossip Girl placement in Molly's weekly rundown on Thursday.

Track and field star Lolo Jones isn't an Olympic virgin, considering she competed in the 2008 games, but she is a virgin in the traditional sense. You might think that an almost-30-year-old virgin would not advertise the fact that she's never had sex, but Olympian Lori "Lolo" Jones isn't shy about her virginity. Later-in-life virgins have a new celebrity role model in 29-year-old Lolo, as she's been opening up in interviews and on Twitter about online dating difficulties and keeping her V-card until marriage. On HBO's Real Sports With Bryant Gumbel, the hurdle jumper said:

"This journey has been hard. It's the hardest thing I've ever done in my life. Harder than training for the Olympics. Harder than studying for college has been staying a virgin before marriage. I've been tempted. I've had guys tell me . . . 'Hey, you know, if you have sex, it'll help you run faster.' If you marry me, then yeah."

Keeping her virginity hasn't been the only hurdle Lolo has had to overcome. She grew up bouncing from school to school with a single mom who had to work multiple jobs to support her family, even living in a church basement at one point. After splitting from her family to pursue her track-and-field dreams, Lolo went on to excel in school and to become the accomplished Olympian she is today. Now, Lolo gives back to those in need with her charitable activities and involvement in Christian ministries. She definitely proves that you don't have to be having sex to be a strong, sexy woman to watch.

Group Therapy: I'm a 40-Year-Old Virgin

I grew up in a very conservative environment. The first time I left my home town was 2 years ago. I believe in sex after marriage but now kinda being more open about it. However every time I meet a guy and we start talking about getting intimate I make sure that I tell him that I'm a virgin and ready for sex but somehow this piece of news is kind of a turn off to them. They eventually lose interest and never go on to have sex with me. I think it means to them that I am "stupid." Even when I went to 2 doctors for issues in my breast they were kind of a bit sarcastic about my virginity and said things like "what are you waiting for" with a smirk or "you don't want to die a virgin" and a laugh. I am feeling offended and I feel like I missed out on life. What I believed was right for a long time somehow the world is telling that it was silly. I don't know how to cope with this and I'm very embarrassed to tell anyone anymore.

Virgin Atlantic Introduces In-Flight Calls - Uh-Oh?

The sweet sound of silence may be departing the friendly skies now that Virgin Atlantic has announced that in-flight mobile calls will come to at least 10 of the airline's routes by the end of this year. Even though Virgin has multiple US destinations, American law dictates cell service must be turned off within 250 miles of US airspace.

A company called AeroMobile will provide the in-flight cell access, which is only available for a limited bandwidth, meaning only a few lines can be accessed per flight. Virgin isn't the first airline to offer the power of mobile calls while en route to a destination: Qantas, Emirates, and Lufthansa also have AeroMobile on board.

With four airlines now offering passengers the opportunity to make calls in the air, is this the sign of an industry trend? How would you like an airplane full of telephone conversations on your next cross-country flight?

Group Therapy: Can You Ever Be Ready to Lose Your Virginity?

I am 22 and have been dating my boyfriend for the past five years. We are completely in love, and I'd have to say we have a pretty healthy relationship. The only thing is that in these past five years, my boyfriend and I haven't had intercourse. We fool around so I can't say that I am the perfect definition of virginity, but my fear of an unplanned pregnancy has kept us from going the whole mile.

I watched an episode of Oprah a few years ago where a sex therapist recommended two forms of protection to a young couple who were not really sure if they were ready to be intimate. That episode stuck in my mind. It made sense to me to have two forms of protection: a condom and something else to be extra safe. The only problem is that I am under my parents' health insurance, and I didn't want to risk having them find out about my plans. I love my parents but they are really old fashioned and a spontaneous visit to the gynecologist would have resulted in a really unhappy start to my search for birth control.

Just the other day I noticed that TrèsSugar had an article about nonhormonal birth control. After reading through all the options I was excited to discover that the Today Sponge was over the counter and effective. After reading the article, I talked it over with my boyfriend and told him that I had found the perfect birth control for my/our situation.

Everything has fallen into place for me to finally lose my virginity in peace, the only problem is that after five years I am still totally freaked out about losing the big "V." I talked to my boyfriend about it, and he said he understood and that he was a little scared too even though he lost his virginity years before we ever met. He said being my first was a lot of pressure for him as well, and he just doesn't want me to regret it. So now my boyfriend and I have decided to take a trip out of the city after the semester is over and have sex for the first time in a hotel somewhere in as romantic a setting as possible. I'm thinking candles (cheesy, I know).

Hearing that I wasn't the only one a little scared really helped me feel better, but all of this has led me to my question: Can you ever be ready to lose your virginity? Is it ever not scary?

Group Therapy: Does a Pap Smear Hurt If You're a Virgin?

I'm 17 and looking to get birth control. According to my doctor, I need to get a pap smear/vaginal exam before I can get a prescription. Now, I'm kind of inclined to worry, and I hate doctor appointments to begin with, so I would be worried about a pap smear anyway. Except there's one thing that really worries me: I'm still a virgin. (In fact, the bc is to regulate my period. I have no intention of becoming sexually active for awhile.) Apparently when they do pap smears they check your uterus - I have a feeling that the whole breaking my hymen with a metal speculum is going to hurt. (Just a feeling, of course . . . ) Does anyone have any advice/wisdom/warnings to calm my nerves before the dreaded exam?

Scouring for deals before you make your purchase is always smart, but you can save even more if you go the extra mile and get some money back after you've booked. Here are some savvy tips to get you more savings after you've forked up cash:

Air Travel: You can save more money on air tickets if the price of the flight goes down. Get refunded the difference when you buy your ticket from airlines like JetBlue, Alaska Airlines, and Southwest. Some airlines will charge an extra fee because they will consider it to be changing reservations. AirTran and Virgin, for example, charge $75, while United charges $150. An easy way to keep track of the changing airline prices is to use online price tracker Yapta.com, which will do the work for you and send you refund alerts when your fare has gone down. Be sure to also check out Yapta's other cool feature that keeps track of the flights that you're interested in buying and sends you alerts when the price drops.
Rental Car: Although Yapta tracks rental-car fares, there is an even better site that will do most of the work for you. It's called autoslash.com; it basically books the car for you, checks around for a cheaper price, then emails you when it finds a lower rate. If you want to go with the lower rate, it will rebook it for you.
Hotels: Pick a hotel with a good refund policy or one that allows you to cancel without any penalties if you want to get your money back when you spot a lower rate on a hotel.Then use Yapta as a price-tracking system for hotels, which alerts you when the price of a hotel drops. If the rate does decrease, you can just cancel your reservation and make a new one. You can generally cancel your hotel booking if you don't pay up front for your reservation, but be sure to read the fine print because every hotel has different policy.
Bonus: Alternatively, if you book through travel sites, you can get some sort of price guarantee for your flight, hotel room, and rental car. Keep in mind that every site has different requirements. For hotel stays, Orbitz will refund you the difference if you find the same room at the same hotel and dates at a cheaper price elsewhere. However, the claim has to be submitted before the hotel applies cancellation fees (which requires paying attention to hotel policies) and only works with rates that have the "Low Price Guarantee" or “Price Assurance.” Travelocity, Expedia, and Priceline all have some sort of price guarantee with some differences, so don't assume that the same policy will apply to the other sites.
