Good Morning America has been bringing us a new blast from the past each day this week, but today's reunion of The Princess Bride is particularly exciting to me, because the movie is so near and dear to my heart. It's been 24 years since the cult classic was first released, and though Westley (Cary Elwes) and Buttercup (Robin Wright) aren't kids anymore, they're still pretty adorable together. The royals reigned this year! We spent the early months of 2011 getting to know Kate Middleton and counting down to her royal marriage to Prince William - and the big day did not disappoint! Kate was a gorgeous princess bride in Alexander McQueen, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie caught our attention with their over-the-top toppers, Prince William and Prince Harry shared some adorable brotherly love at the altar, and we got not one, but two kisses on the Buckingham Palace balcony!

Of course, William and Kate weren't the only royals to walk down the aisle this year. In July, Charlene Wittstock married Prince Albert to become Her Serene Highness the Princess of Monaco, a title last held by Grace Kelly. And the queen's eldest granddaughter, Zara Phillips, tied the knot, too. Meanwhile, pretty young royal Charlotte Casiraghi of Monaco said "I do" to a Vogue cover and international attention.

We also got some royal action stateside! Newlyweds William and Kate came to California in July and were later followed by Prince Harry, who did some helicopter training, as well as some partying, in San Diego, Arizona, and Las Vegas.

Anne Hathaway Parties With a Princess and Her Princess Diaries Costar!

Anne Hathaway had fiction and reality mixing last night at the Princess Grace Awards Gala, held at NYC's Cipriani on 42nd Street. Her Princess Diaries costar and friend Julie Andrews was on hand to mingle with real-life royals from Monaco, Princess Albert and Princess Charlene.

It's been three months since Albert and Charlene wed in a lavish weekend-long ceremony, and they seem to be moving past the July stories that she was forced to marry him against her will. In a recent interview, Charlene spoke about the runaway bride articles. She said, "Why would we go through all this effort to have this fantastic couple of days and have our most intimate, dearest friends come join us, for us to be reluctant? For me, it was a bit hilarious." Last night, a Dior-clad Charlene seemed happy to make the rounds with her husband, and the couple sat in the audience while Anne, in Valentino, addressed the crowd.
