These are some of the industry&#039;s heaviest hitters; the &lt;b&gt;Hollywood Reporter&lt;/b&gt; names the Power 100 based on &quot;their ability to greenlight content, their position within the company, the number of people who report to them and the amount of money they control.&quot; At the top this year is Anne Sweeney, co-chairman of Disney Media Network and president of Disney-ABC Television Group. Oprah came in at No. 8. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Also honored at the breakfast, hosted by Queen Latifah and John Travolta and with 700 invitees, was Jodie Foster, who received the fourth annual Sherry Lansing Leadership Award, &quot;presented to a woman who has been a pioneer or leader in her field&quot; and named after the first woman to head an entertainment studio. In addition, the winners of the Lifetime Movie Network Student Filmmaker Competition were honored. The competition was developed &quot;to encourage and discover the next generation of female filmmakers,&quot; which is always something I can get behind. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;b&gt;What to Know Before Buying Superfoods&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Before we dive into what to buy, there are a few important things to remember about consuming these foods:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Eating foods fresh and in their natural state, especially fruits and vegetables (rather than in pill or powder supplement form), usually allows us to absorb the greatest amount of their nutrients. The way a superfood is processed or cooked can significantly lower its antioxidant content.&lt;/li&gt;

&lt;p&gt;You know what calories are, and you probably know that if you eat too many, you&#039;ll gain weight. But do you know how many are in your favorite deli sandwich? Or how many calories you should really eat each day? Most Americans don’t. Only 12 percent can accurately estimate the number of calories they should consume in a day someone their age, height, weight, and physical activity, according to a 2010 survey by the International Food Information Council Foundation. So what is it about calories that keeps us baffled? Last month, we shared some reasons you might be confused about calories - here are four more and the simple steps that will help you do the math.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;1. Exercise makes you hungry&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
Though studies are mixed when it comes to whether exercise actually stimulates or suppresses appetite, many people think of working out as a way to eat whatever they like. &quot;There’s definitely a mentality of &#039;I have sweated therefore I deserve,&#039;&quot; says Bonci. However, with most people burning about 100 calories per mile, a short workout won&#039;t give you a free pass to eat junk food. &quot;If you walk two miles, eating a handful of chips post-workout can undo the calories you burned,&quot; says Bonci. As mentioned above, gym machines don’t accurately measure calories burned, either. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Stop the confusion: &lt;/strong&gt; To stop an after-workout binge, fuel up pre-gym, Zied suggests. &quot;Have something before - something with carbs and a little protein, like whole wheat toast and peanut butter or a banana and milk.&quot; Depending on the intensity of your workout, you may need something afterward as well. After a workout longer than 45 minutes, you should aim to eat about 200 calories. &lt;/p&gt;

Resistance training often hogs the metab-boosting spotlight. It&#039;s no wonder, since a pound of muscle at rest fries three times as many calories as a pound of fat. However, cardio is every bit as crucial for keeping your metabolism humming.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;New research explains why: In a study published in &lt;b&gt;Medicine &amp;amp; Science in Sports &amp;amp;  Exercise&lt;/b&gt;, people pedaled a stationary bike as hard as they could for 47 minutes.&lt;br /&gt;
The finding: They slashed 190 calories above their resting metabolic rate for 14 hours after their workout. Add that to the 519 calories, on average, the cyclists scorched from the workout itself, and that&#039;s one heck of a sweat session.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&quot;If you do just two to three vigorous bouts of exercise per week for 45 minutes, you could lose a pound of fat every two weeks from the combination of calories expended during exercise plus what you burn afterward,&quot; says study author David Nieman, PhD, a professor of exercise science at Appalachian State University.&lt;/p&gt;
