The Office, "Special Project": Best Lines of The Night

In this week's episode of The Office, Dwight has been chosen to spearhead a three-week assignment in Tallahassee. He's putting together "a competent team" that will assist him on the mission, setting up a number of new Sabre locations. Half the episode deals with various relationship issues, and the rest is essentially an audition for the team that will head to Florida. There are some important plot points revealed: Val and Darryl vaguely express their feelings for each other, and Erin tells us she wants to head to Florida for good. While "Special Project" definitely has potential, this week just kind of landed flat for me.

Regardless, there are a few funny moments that stood out in my mind. To read a few of my fave lines from "Special Project," just keep reading.

The Office, "Jury Duty": Best Lines of The Night

After a solid cold opening of Andy dancing to "Footloose" in the warehouse (think dancing on bubble wrap and punching packing peanuts), the rest of this week's episode of The Office is a success. We find out early on that Jim was called to jury duty for a half day that he turned into five days. Dwight catches on to Jim's plan early on and does everything in his power to bring him down. On top of all the cute kids that show up for "Jury Duty," Jim and Dwight go at it. Oscar has some awesome moments. And I love this new friendship between Kevin and Erin that's blossoming before our eyes.

This is one of my favorite episodes I can remember in a long time. Not too plot driven and chock-full of solid comedic writing plus a handful endearing moments that just made me feel good. To get a few of my favorite lines, just keep reading.

The Office, "Pool Party": Best Lines of the Night

On this week's The Office, we got to see the colleagues of Dunder Mifflin as we rarely see them: in their bathing suits. The gang gets invited to a pool party at Robert California's dream home before he has to put it on the market, and things get a little wild.

Erin bends over backward to make Andy jealous, who has an engagement ring he may or may not use on his girlfriend. Jim tries to leave the party early, but the wet and crazy festivities keep everyone going, and things get weird. There were so many funny lines, but I managed to pick out a few favorites. See them when you read more.

The Office, "Trivia": Best Lines of The Night

In this week's episode of The Office, Oscar attends a trivia night contest in Philadelphia. Naturally, Andy decides that the whole office should get involved in the fun. Everyone shows up without telling Oscar and realizes instantly that they're at a gay bar. Their worries blow over pretty quickly and the office splits up into three teams: the "good timers," the "back-ups," and the "A-team." My heart broke for Kevin's initial lack of "self-awareness" on which team he was best suited for, but felt such a sense of accomplishment when he and the rest of the "good timers" (renamed The Einsteins) come out on top.

A great addition to this episode comes in the form of Dwight's separate storyline. After hearing that there's a managerial position open in Florida, he takes the initiative to travel down to speak to Robert California in person. He has some great one-liners and some hysterical interactions with Gabe, but unfortunately, it was not the saving grace of the episode. Overall, "Trivia" was all right, but definitely not my favorite of the season. I did love that Kevin had some quality moments - and surprisingly, the guy running trivia in Philly provided some of the funniest moments of the episode! To see the best lines, just keep reading.

The Office's "Christmas Wishes": Best Lines of the Night

This year's holiday episode of The Office kicks off with Andy being an authoritarian, but adorable, choral director, leading the crew in his rendition of "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer." It's the first Christmas in history without Michael Scott playing Santa, and the Nard Dog has big shoes to fill. In true Dunder Mifflin style, they're throwing a big bash, and Andy decides to grant everyone in the office one Christmas wish.

<http://www.buzzsugar.com/Office-Recap-Christmas-Wishes-20765030/">

One Christmas miracle comes in the form of a "darkly erratic" Robert California, while another highlight is one of the most epic air-guitar sessions ever seen on the small screen. Ultimately, though, this episode is about Erin's lingering feelings for Andy, and his own confusion about whether or not he reciprocates. I'm not sure how to feel about this. Are we supposed to be happy that they might possibly get back together? Or do we just want Erin to get a sweet boyfriend who adores her even more? "Christmas Wishes" is hands down one of my favorite episodes of the season. To find out my favorite lines from this awesome episode, just keep reading

The Office, "Mrs. California": Best Lines of the Night

With one of the best cold opens on The Office all season, this week we jump back into Robert California's bulldozing of Andy. Tonight, it's about his wife. Robert says that under no circumstances is his sweet and beautiful wife (played by Maura Tierney) allowed to work at Dunder-Mifflin. Andy almost pushes through and succeeds, until all of the games become just too much. Just when it looks like he is in the clear, Robert promises that he would be "eternally grateful," and (of course) Andy blows it by offering Mrs. California a gig.

What I love about this episode is that Andy's genuine good nature shines, and that's what I've loved about nerdy Nard Dog from day one. I'm tired of Robert California being such a bully without any humor to alleviate the situation. Luckily, it seems like the writers may agree. At the end of the episode, Mrs. California notes that it's too bad things didn't work out since she and Andy really "hit it off." Of course, Andy assumes that she means this in a professional capacity, but an unexpected twist comes when Mrs. California asks Andy out.

The saving grace in the humor department? Dwight and Darryl. After Dwight opens "Dwight Schrute's Gym for Muscles," Darryl is the first office member to sign up. The two spend time working out together and just being generally hysterical. There's also some solid Creed action where he's playing with a remote-controlled helicopter on the roof. Even if I'm exhausted of the Robert vs. Andy saga, "Mrs. California" truly has its moments. For my favorite lines from this episode, just keep reading.

The Office, "Gettysburg": Best Lines of the Night

This week on The Office, Andy plans a day trip to Gettysburg in order to boost company morale and teach the crew all about the "business" of war and how it translates to paper. Since the trip isn't mandatory, half of the office stays back in Scranton, hoping they'll have a laid-back day. All of that changes when Robert California shows up and tells everyone to start coming up with some "game-changing" strategies. Where did the winning idea come from you ask? I'm happy to say it was none other than the incomparable Kevin Malone.

Back to the field trip: when the gang arrives at their destination, Andy opts out of the traditional "tourist" route and takes everyone on the "specially created Andy Bernard tour," full of quirky lessons and mile-long hikes. When Andy becomes much too much for everyone, he takes off solo, hoping that someone will follow. In the most heartfelt moment of the episode, Jim and Darryl find Andy and give him permission to stop trying so hard; he has nothing to prove and everyone likes having him as manager. I was so thrilled that the guys made this grand gesture. Hopefully this will cut out the Nard Dog's constant whining that I've been finding so hard to swallow these days. Overall, "Gettysburg" is a pretty solid episode. While this wasn't necessarily my favorite of the season, it absolutely has its moments. To find out some of my favorite lines, just keep reading.

The Office, "Pam's Replacement": Best Lines of the Night

On this week's episode of The Office, a very pregnant Pam must train her replacement for her maternity leave, and she's feeling more insecure than usual when that replacement happens to be an attractive woman that all the men at Dunder Mifflin are buzzing about. All the men except Jim, that is. Pam's determined to get Jim to admit he finds temp Cathy (Lindsey Broad) hot, and goes as far as to team up with Dwight to get the truth out of him. Dwight's tactics prove unconventional, including lunging at Jim's crotch to gauge his level of sexual interest in Cathy and creating a make-shift lie detector test.

Meanwhile, Andy, Kevin, and Darryl take to the warehouse for an impromptu jam session that attracts the interest of Robert California. The CEO hits a sour note with the trio when he takes over their rehearsal space with his own band, a bold move from the intimidating California. It's about the only thing that felt totally original in the episode. We've seen Pam get jealous over Jim before, and is it me or did the cold open feel a bit familiar, too? Andy gets Erin to interrupt his meeting with a fake urgent call, so that he can refuse it and make the client feel important, which is a variation of Michael Scott's old trick of getting Pam to burst into his office with fake notes. Either way, the jokes still made me laugh, and - as always - each character has hilarious lines. Check out a few of my favorites when you keep reading!

The Office, "Doomsday": Best Lines of the Night

In an equally outlandish and sincere attempt to improve productivity at The Office, Dwight creates a device that will most definitely get everyone fired. The "Accountability Booster" registers every time a mistake gets made in the office. When five mistakes are made, you get a home run. Unlike their traditional connotation, home runs are not positive on The Office. "You get a home run and you're out."

After the team makes the five errors necessary to change the trajectory of their careers, Dwight refuses to delete the email that would ruin everything. He goes home for the day, but Andy assembles a ragtag team to go to Schrute Farms to try to change Dwight's mind. After helping him dig a horse grave and chowing down on some cabbage pie, Pam's uncanny ability to connect with others comes through. She pushes Andy to stop stressing everyone, and eventually her positive attitude pays off. Dwight eventually enters his password into the program and all is well.

Overall I thought this was a great episode. It's sweet, pop-culture laden, and full of laughs. It just goes to show: if you put a lot of Dwight in an episode, things just work for The Office.

As Andy's first Halloween as regional manager, he's taking The Office celebration very seriously. After prescreening costumes and putting Erin in charge of the event, he feels pressure from Robert California to amp things up a bit. As a result, he attempts to hand the reins back over to former party-planning commandant Angela, but Erin does her best to re-imagine her sweet "kiddie" party for the adult world. At first things seem like a complete success; there's eerie fog and creative decor that even Darryl compliments. But once Gabe's creepy homemade film of the unsettling hits the screen, everything else hits the fan. The real shift in the episode occurs when we learn that Andy has a girlfriend. And it's serious, people; they've been on exactly 31 dates. Although my heart weeps for Erin, I can't wait to see who will play the Nard Dog's new lady.

A great stride comes in the form of humanizing Robert California. Up to this point, I've been a fan of James Spader's character, but was a little put off by his constant arrogance. In this episode, he feels more like a real person, partially due to the fact that he brings his son Bert to the party - who totally hits it off with Dwight! Overall the episode was a success for the The Office, so to find out some of my favorite lines from "Spooked," just keep reading.
