Emma, Charlize, and Katie Join Their Stylists For a Special Issue of THR

The Hollywood Reporter's annual style issue brought together 25 powerful stylists and their star clients including Katie Holmes, Charlize Theron, and Emma Stone. Katie joined her Holmes & Yang partner and personal stylist Jeanne Yang for the shoot and shared that they "both love to do research, do vintage shopping together, rip pages out of magazines and swap ideas." Petra Flannery posed alongside her client Emma and said of the actress, "much like her personality, Emma is very fun and quick-witted with fashion." New mom Charlize Theron got close to her fashion consultant Leslie Fremar for the publication and explained that she loves that Leslie "has a great eye, makes quick decisions, knows my body and what I like and has access to the best stuff." Also featured in the THR special are Jessica Chastain, Sofia Vergara, Olivia Wilde, and super-stylist Rachel Zoe, who brought her son Skyler along for the cameras.

George Clooney Gets Candid About Drinking, Feeling Lonely, and Brad Pitt in THR

George Clooney is front and center on the cover of The Hollywood Reporter's latest issue. He's had an exciting award season with The Descendants and The Ides of March so far. He picked up honors at the Golden Globes and Critics' Choice Awards, and grabbed nominations from the SAGs and Academy Awards. George's latest red-carpet appearance was at the BAFTAs over the weekend, though he didn't return home with a statue for either film. He also posed for the cameras solo, since girlfriend Stacy Keibler didn't join him overseas. George talked to THR about feeling lonely even when surrounded by people, the truth about his friendship with Brad Pitt, and why he stopped drinking. Here's more from George in The Hollywood Reporter:

On Brad Pitt: "Brad is one of the great guys. We’re good friends, but it’s different from what people think, meaning we don’t spend a lot of time together. He has been to my home in Como; we motorcycle together. But until recently, I hadn’t seen Brad in a year."
On quitting drinking: "I drink at times too much. I do enjoy drinking, and there have been times in my life when it’s crossed the line from being fun to having to drink late at night for absolutely no reason. So what I do is, I stop. I haven’t had a drink since New Year’s Eve."
On feeling lonely: "Anyone would be lying if they said they didn’t get lonely at times. The loneliest you will get is in the most public of arenas: You will go to a place and end up in the smallest compartment possible, because it’s a distraction to everybody, and you end up not getting to enjoy it like everyone else. I have been infinitely more alone in a bad relationship; there’s nothing more isolating. I have been in places in my life where that has existed."

Brad Pitt Breaks From Award Season to Talk Marriage, Family, and Smoking Grass

Brad Pitt's baby blues are front and center on the cover of the latest issue of The Hollywood Reporter. He just received a best actor Oscar nomination for Moneyball, which is also up for best picture alongside his Tree of Life. First, though, he'll hit the red carpet at this weekend's Screen Actors Guild Awards, where he's in the running for best actor. Brad took a break from award season, which has already garnered him a New York Film Critics Circle statue, to talk to the publication about family, a rough patch in his life, and the real story behind the cane. Here's more from Brad Pitt in The Hollywood Reporter:

On smoking weed: "I got really sick of myself at the end of the 1990s: I was hiding out from the celebrity thing; I was smoking way too much dope; I was sitting on the couch and just turning into a doughnut; and I really got irritated with myself. But that feeling of unease was growing and one night I just said, ‘This is a waste.’ I just quit. I stopped grass then - I mean, pretty much - and decided to get off the couch."
On marrying Angelina: "We’d actually like to, and it seems to mean more and more to our kids. We made this declaration some time ago that we weren’t going to do it till everyone can. But I don’t think we’ll be able to hold out. It means so much to my kids, and they ask a lot. And it means something to me, too, to make that kind of commitment. I’m not going to go any further, but to be in love with someone and be raising a family with someone and want to make that commitment and not be able to is ludicrous, just ludicrous."
On his leg injury: "I was just walking in our backyard, on a hill, carrying my daughter, and I slipped - and it was those parental instincts: me or her. And she’s fine."

Angelina Jolie Talks Being "So Not Cool" to Her Kids in THR

Angelina Jolie shares the cover of The Hollywood Reporter with Jennifer Yuh Nelson for the current issue, which highlights female directors. Angelina got behind the camera for her first project, In the Land of Blood and Honey, last year and has lately been busy promoting the war drama ahead of its holiday release in a few weeks. She took a break to chat with the publication and her Kung Fu Panda director Jennifer about writing her first film, working on animated movies, and family life. Here's more from Angelina in The Hollywood Reporter:

On Kung Fu Panda: "Fortunately, I've scored some points at home because of Kung Fu Panda. They love Tigress, who is my alternate personality. Otherwise, they think Brad [Pitt] and I are just so not cool."
On writing the script from home: "I wrote whenever I could, when the kids were asleep or in their classes. Halfway through some of the most horrific scenes, I'd hear, 'Mommy, I need another story, I can't go to sleep,' and so I'd pause what I was doing and go tell happy stories about bunny villages. They won't see this movie. They know that mommy, on occasion, goes off to Libya or other places. I make them very conscious of the fact that there are a lot of people struggling through different things, and I don't protect them from the fact that war isn't a video game, it's a very, very horrible thing."
On why she loves voicing animation: "I love animation because you get to do things you don't normally get to. For one, I could bring my kids and wear my pajamas, and hang out with Jen. And my character is just so badass. Yes, eating pizza is the hardest stunt we did."

It seems like being belted at the waist was an overall trend, with Bethenny Frankel, Chelsea Handler, Kate Bosworth, and newcomer Shailene Woodley all sporting sheath dresses that cinched in the middle. Rachel Zoe Shares on Her "Really Wonderful, Drama-Free" Pregnancy and John Galliano in The Hollywood Reporter

Rachel Zoe proudly bared her baby bump for a special issue of The Hollywood Reporter. She was so happy with the article that she tweeted, "pinch me - such a beautiful piece!" The superstar stylist, who's expecting a son with her husband Rodger Berman, has been busy prepping for their new arrival with a star-studded baby shower and a stint shopping for his room. However, she's busy as always and just came off a well-regarded job dressing Anne Hathaway at the Oscars. Rachel spoke to the publication about her happiness with her select client list, loving this time in her life but still prepping for the future, and even weighed in on John Galliano's public meltdown and firing. She said:

On the current time in her life: "I can say in all honesty that being pregnant, working with the kind of people I work with and being this businesswoman has been a really wonderful, drama-free time in my life."
On why she went to LA: "To merge the worlds of Hollywood and fashion . . . Because I felt that there was this huge disconnect. I didn’t understand why the most glamorous place in the world wasn’t using the most glamorous clothes . . . Ten years ago, you couldn’t find a fashion photographer or couture anywhere around here. Coming out, I was fascinated by the red carpet and Old Hollywood in particular, so I was like, ‘You’ve gotta mix things up. You need to give some edge, some glamour, take some chances.'"
On John Galliano's comments and firing: "It’s a little insane and super-sad. Anti-Semitism, racism or any prejudice is not something I tolerate. I’ve fired clients because they were anti-Semitic, or anti-everything, except what they were. . . I’ve known John Galliano and his boyfriend for years. I don’t know enough about it to make a clear statement, but if it’s true, it’s tragic."
On her family's future: "I have this visual of me and Rodg living in this amazing house that’s not too big in the south of France, where we go for four months and just sit on the beach and make jewelry. Not to sell, just for fun and therapy. Like literally, take rocks and shells and glue them."

Disney Studio Head Tops Most Powerful Women List

Speaking of lists today, this morning The Hollywood Reporter held its annual Power 100 breakfast to honor their list of the most powerful women in entertainment. These are some of the industry's heaviest hitters; the Hollywood Reporter names the Power 100 based on "their ability to greenlight content, their position within the company, the number of people who report to them and the amount of money they control." At the top this year is Anne Sweeney, co-chairman of Disney Media Network and president of Disney-ABC Television Group. Oprah came in at No. 8.

Also honored at the breakfast, hosted by Queen Latifah and John Travolta and with 700 invitees, was Jodie Foster, who received the fourth annual Sherry Lansing Leadership Award, "presented to a woman who has been a pioneer or leader in her field" and named after the first woman to head an entertainment studio. In addition, the winners of the Lifetime Movie Network Student Filmmaker Competition were honored. The competition was developed "to encourage and discover the next generation of female filmmakers," which is always something I can get behind.

Kristen Stewart slipped out of her Reem Acra gown and into a Dolce & Gabbana t-shirt and sexy black shorts for Robert Pattinson's Cosmopolis Cannes Fim Festival afterparty. Earlier in the evening, Rob hit the red carpet solo at the film's formal premiere while Kristen stuck close to his best friend, and her On The Road costar, Tom Sturridge. The trip to France came right in the middle of Kristen's international Snow White and the Huntsman press tour. The film opens in theaters June 1 and Kristen's headed back to the States next week for a few more promotional stops. As for Rob, he's in the running for two of the hottest roles in Hollywood. New reports say Rob's considering the part of Finnick Odair in Catching Fire, the follow up to The Hunger Games, and he's among the sexy guys competing to play Christian in Fifty Shades of Grey.
