No sooner have we gotten the good news that Chuck and Parenthood have been renewed than we get the bad news: NBC has canceled The Event and Law & Order: Los Angeles. Both shows are in their first season and have suffered from low ratings; that said, there's a glimmer of hope for sci-fi series The Event. Apparently, there's a chance the show could get picked up by another outlet — possibly Read more

NBC Picks Up Outsourced, The Event, Law & Order: LA

It may be a bad year for Fall TV, but a few shows are still eking by with lackluster ratings. After giving the axe to Outlaw last week, NBC has put in full-season orders for The Event, Law & Order: LA, and Outsourced. I'm not surprised that the network is doing all it can to make The Event happen, and Outsourced has proved that it can hold its own among the other Thursday night comedies. Read more
