What to Download: New Music on iTunes
Tuesdays are big in entertainmentville: Not only do all the new DVD releases hit Netflix, but new music also pours into stores, including iTunes. So I take a spin through each week's iTunes music releases and pick out some albums and tracks worthy of a download. Here are today's selections:
A little rock: I added this album from The Walkmen to my list of must haves for August because I'm a fan of their dark, boozy rock — but I know they can be an acquired taste.

August is the month when Summer comes to a close and entertainment-land gets a case of the doldrums. It's typically slow for music releases, and Hollywood doesn't necessarily put out the year's best films this month either. But that doesn't mean there aren't a few good gems out there that you'll want to get your hands on this month.
Song of the Day: The Walkmen, "New Year's Eve"
This pretty and plaintive ballad by The Walkmen came out a few years back, on the band's 2004 album Bows + Arrows. But it's always a nice one to revisit when prepping for your New Year's night out.
