Jolie + Depp = Hottest On-Screen Couple Ever?

In what can only be described as a match made in Hollywood heaven, Johnny Depp may be Angelina Jolie's next leading man. The actor is in talks to star opposite Jolie in The Tourist, a film that Jolie snatched up when Charlize Theron left it behind. Depp would play the American tourist, a role that Sam Worthington was originally slated for.

The film's had a lot of big names attached to it already (including Tom Cruise, in addition to Theron and Worthington), so I'm trying not to get my hopes too high for this one. But Jolie and Depp together on the big screen could be legendary, and not just because they're both smokin' hot. While I think they'd have some seriously good chemistry, I'd also love to see the talented actors go head to head on the big screen.

Of course, if Depp signs on, it could be a nail in the coffin for Pirates of the Caribbean 4, but how do you feel about this news?

Charlize Theron Out, Angelina Jolie May Be in For The Tourist

Upcoming spy thriller The Tourist has had plenty of A-list names swirling around it, from George Clooney to Tom Cruise, and now one more is added to the mix. Charlize Theron has dropped out of the film, and Angelina Jolie is in talks to take her place.

Jolie would star opposite Sam Worthington, playing an American tourist who goes undercover for Interpol to trap a criminal with whom she's had an affair. Jolie doesn't have a ton on her plate at the moment now that Salt is wrapped, and another action thriller shouldn't be much of a stretch for her - though she has said in the past that she wants to take on fewer projects and spend more time at home with those adorable kids.

Gwyneth Paltrow to Join Nicole Kidman in The Danish Girl

About a year ago Nicole Kidman signed on to play a transsexual in The Danish Girl, and now Gwyneth Paltrow has signed on to play her (his?) wife. Taking over a role originally slated for Charlize Theron, Paltrow will play Greta, an artist in 1920s Copenhagen who encourages her husband (Kidman) to pose as a female model - but has mixed feelings about the matter when her husband decides to undergo a sex change operation.

This is the second recent project that Charlize has dropped out of only to make room for another big star (the first is The Tourist), but do you think Gwyneth will be a better fit for the role?

Charlize Theron Going Mad?

Last week I heard that Charlize Theron had dropped out of the spy thriller The Tourist, but the actress may already have something new up her sleeve. Apparently director George Miller has Theron in mind to take the lead in his fourth installment of the Mad Max franchise.

That's not the only news about the upcoming sequel - since Mel Gibson's supposedly too old to reprise his role, Miller has his eye on British actor Tom Hardy to take over.

Other than that, Miller is being very hush-hush about the details of his movie, but what do you make of this news? Can Charlize breathe new life into the 30-year-old story, or would it be better to let Mad Max rest in peace?

Angelina Jolie Is Going Gucci

Despite what she may have said in the past, Angelina Jolie's career isn't slowing down anytime soon. Last week we learned that she'll be taking Charlize Theron's place in The Tourist and she may be adding another femme fatale role to her resume. Jolie is in talks to take the lead in Ridley Scott's Gucci.

Jolie would play Patrizia Reggiano, who spent 29 years in prison for plotting the murder of her ex husband, Maurizio Gucci. The script is still being reworked and Ridley's search for his Maurizio continues - apparently Leonardo DiCaprio has been approached but has yet to sign on.

I could absolutely see Jolie in this role, and in general I like when she can show more of her acting chops and less of her kung fu skills. Bonus: Angelina and Leo would make for one hot big screen couple.
