Now that we've covered indle albums and best "everywhere" song, let's keep the ball rolling in the best of the year's music. Some of the hottest pop stars in the industry churned out new tunes this year, including both the winner and runner-up of American Idol. So tell me — what is the best pop album of 2009?
What to Download: New Music Today
Tuesdays are big in entertainmentville: Not only do all the new DVD releases hit Netflix, but new music also pours into stores. So I take a spin through each week's music releases and pick out some albums and tracks worthy of a download. Here are today's selections:
Music for the TV: When I think of The Fray I can't help but associate them with the golden era of Grey's Anatomy.
Lost Music Video Hints at Season Five
Midway through Grey's Anatomy last night, ABC premiered a musical promo for the fifth season of Lost. Set to The Fray's new single, "You Found Me," we see glimpses of scenes from last season (including huge things that I guess could be considered "spoilers" if you haven't seen the last season), like Kate with Aaron, Desmond on the phone with his "constant," etc. Mixed in with those scenes are flashes of the upcoming season (Juliet and Sawyer appear to be teaming up, and we're definitely not done with Daniel Faraday and Charlotte from the helicopter).
