Seems like there is plenty of odd musical news going around right now, and one of the strangest ideas I've heard is A Very Brady Musical, which will take to the stage in L.A. on June 6.
At first glance this is really unappealing.

Every Wednesday on BuzzSugar, I post a Recast challenge, where I ask you to choose new actors for a classic TV show or movie and the winner gets a BuzzSugar t-shirt!
Here I was thinking "The Brady Bunch" would be the hardest Recast of all, given the large cast, but once again you all surprised and delighted me with your lists. I especially enjoyed catstarr's mega-celebrity cast list — while Paris Hilton doesn't seem to adopt the, uh, Brady value system there is something intrinsically Marcia-like about her.

This week's Ugly Betty comes with a super-special treat: Christine Baranski! Honestly, once Baranski's involved with something I'm hard-pressed to be very critical of it. She is pitch-perfect as Betty's new boyfriend's upper-crust snob of a mother who disapproves of our young heroine.

The folks over at Paste have compiled a pretty impressive list of the 40 best TV theme songs of all time, complete with YouTube clips for each. Some of them are relatively modern classics (The Simpsons, The Sopranos), while many others dredge up memories of the '70s (The Love Boat, The Brady Bunch).
It's a pretty comprehensive list, and there are lots of fun facts I didn't know (for example, the same composers did the music for The A-Team, CHiPs, and Doogie Howser, MD, among others).

On Mother's Day this Sunday, it's important to honor our moms. It's also important to celebrate all the stepmothers, grandmothers, aunts, neighbors and other women who nurture and raise children that are not biologically their own. Thus, I present my homage to these women with a list of TV and movie mother figures, those characters whose hearts are generous enough to take in children who are not technically theirs.

All good things must come to an end, and last night that good thing was Project Runway season four. I'm certainly going to miss its bevy of crying fits, crazy hats, cackles, and fierceness. And while it may not have been the most dynamic season in terms of drama (really, I blame Jillian), the designers certainly had talent — as we saw during last night's runway presentation showcasing the final three designers.
