Matt's Not Ready to See Bourne Go

Matt Damon showed off his killer smile at a photocall for The Bourne Ultimatum in Japan today. The mayhem may have died down here in the states, but clearly the movie is still going strong overseas. Back in August you guys said that you wanted to see a 4th Bourne movie and apparently Matt agrees! During his stint in Tokyo, he talked about his feelings about Jason Bourne and the possibility of not putting the character to rest just yet, saying,

"Personally, the character means a lot to me because the character has done so much for my career. You know, it put me in the position where I have a lot more choices of kind of movies I want to make. If [director] Paul Greengrass, maybe years down the road, was interested in doing another one, then I would do it, too. I don't think either of us completely put the character to bed yet."

We probably don't need to tell you how much we'd like to see another Bourne movie. Plus, after the huge success after the last film, it might not be such a bad idea for Matt either.

Damon Does Mexico

We were hoping we'd get to see all the Ocean's boys together at the Deauville Film Festival, but Matt already jetted off to make it to yesterday's Mexico City Bourne premiere. Even though it's already doing so well internationally, he's committed to promoting this film all over the world rather than phoning it in. Looks like his girls didn't come with him for this part of the tour, but I can't blame him for not wanting to fill up Isabella's passport too quickly. Hopefully pretty soon he'll be able to relax at home and get back to just being a dad for a little before his next big premiere.

Matt Damon Goes Gray

Matt Damon is still traveling the world promoting his summer hit movie, The Bourne Ultimatum. This time he is at the American Film Festival in Deauville, France. So far the movie has raked in almost $245 million worldwide! The actor recently admitted to feeling older and having a few grays hairs but we didn't believe it until now. Matty does have some gray hairs sprinkling in but we don't care. We know it happens to the sexiest of men so we welcome Matt aging gracefully. Besides, he's the type of guy to have a perpetual baby boy face so it's not like he needs to worry.

Damon Doesn't Leave Home Without His Girls

Matt and Luciana got all decked out for yet another premiere of The Bourne Ultimatum in Berlin last night. It must be tiring for Matt's family - especially adorable Isabella - to follow him all over the world for his projects, but apparently he can't function without them. He said, "The only time they haven't come with me was for the Tangier sequence of this film and as soon as I got there I realized it was a mistake. Being apart wasn't good for any of us, so now they come everywhere with me." Aww, we just can't get enough of Daddy Damon - even if he claims that his cute family is making him a little worse for the wear.

How Fatherhood Fattened Up Matt Damon

Matt Damon is looking younger and better than ever these days while promoting The Bourne Ultimatum overseas in Berlin, but the actor was recently joking about how fatherhood has made him out of shape. He spoke about how he used to work all day and head to the gym at night since he had no reason to get home. Isabella is 14 months old and his whole life has changed as he rushes home now to see his girls before they go to bed. He said:

"I've had the same personal trainer on all the Bourne films but once he left this time, that was it for me and working out because I wanted to get home to see my daughter before she went to sleep.... Towards the end of filming they had to shoot around my belly," Damon jokes. "If you pay close attention you'll see the zipper on my jacket creeping up and up. I had to keep that jacket on."

"Halfway through the movie [director] Paul Greengrass looked at me and said, 'You look terrible,' " says Damon. "I told him, 'I'm sorry. I'm awake all night with the baby,' to which he said, 'No, it's really good. She came along just at the right time – she's really helping your performance,' "

We love that Matt has turned into such a family man. We were always a big fan of him as a fabulous actor but this version makes him even sexier!

Our First Disagreement With Damon

Matt continued to make his way around London today, promoting The Bourne Ultimatum and posing for pictures with fans. Our favorite action hero may also be an international heartthrob, but silly Matt seems to think that he's already an old man at 36, saying, "I've got more grey hairs than Brad Pitt. We're not as young as we used to be. Fatherhood has changed us. No more late nights and hanging around Ronnie Scott's listening to jazz like we used to." You gotta love when Matt casually drops the name of one of his Ocean's Thirteen buddies. As far as being old - grey hairs or not, he has definitely not passed his prime in our eyes.

Matt Teams Back Up With Clooney, Yay!

The stars of The Bourne Ultimatum all came out for Wednesday's London premiere. Matt was handsome, as usual, and Luciana looked spectacular on his arm. Also, is it just me or do Joan and Julia look kinda like twins? With the success of Bourne, Matt is in a better place than ever in his career and I love hearing about any and all of his new projects. The latest is that he and George (swoon duo) purchased the film rights to adapt the Broadway show, Farragut North (which is soon starring Gyllenhaal). Here's to hoping that both those lovely lovely men make their way in front of the camera, not just behind the scenes.

Matt Would Like To Thank His Stuntmen

Box Office Record Breaking Jason Bourne flew solo at last night's Sydney premiere of Ultimatum. These days it's rare to see Matt without his adorable family, but the trip down under was a bit too much traveling for his whole brood considering his rigorous premiere schedule this month. In an interview he lamented the fact that they all couldn't take the trip together and had this to say about being a nice guy playing such a tough one:

It's utterly ridiculous to friends who know me as very non-confrontational,'' he says.

"So when I'm kicking four guys' ass in one of the scenes I just think it's funny, as I look at that sequence and all I see is these great stuntmen trying so hard to make me look good.

"I love the character -- ultimately it's middle-aged wish fulfillment. Like I got hit on the head, wake up and speak all these languages, beat everyone up and women love me and I'm indestructible.''

Matt may not be indestructible in real life, but I don't think that "women loving him" is just part of the character. Quite the opposite really -- the fact that he seems like such a nice guy just makes him all the more dreamy.

Happy Bourne Ultimatum Friday!

It's been three long years, but the time has come: The Bourne Ultimatum finally hits theaters today. It's been a blast seeing charismatic Matt as the one man promotional show for this movie, but it's time for the main event. Last night on the way into The Daily Show to chat with John Stewart (for like the 7 minutes he leaves for interviews), Matt careful not to wrinkle his suit by changing into it before the green room. So cute. As for the movie, it's been getting awesome reviews which is such a relief. We were a little worried when it kept going back for reshoots but the perfectionism has paid off. Buzz loved it -- check out her full review here! Now it's just counting down the minutes until I get into that theater...

Matt Is Impressed With His Hetero Life Partner's Work

Matt Damon looked beefcake central (Red Sox represent! Holla!) showing up to tape Late Night With David Letterman yesterday afternoon. More on his adorable interview with Dave in a little, but first check out how cute he was talking about Ben in a recent interview. I sincerely heart that these two are BFFs again. On his relationship with Affleck:

In terms of my 'hetero-life-mate', as I think Kevin Smith once said in one of his movies, we're not working on a script right now, but we're talking about a bunch of different things. His career just totally has gone in this really new and exciting direction. I've seen the movie that he directed [Gone, Baby, Gone, a crime thriller co-starring Ben's brother Casey] and it is really good. It's fantastic, the performances are great and every actor is going to want to work with him after they see this thing. It's coming out around October. So he's gone from being an actor to now being a director, now being somebody that can give me a job, so our whole relationship's completely changed [laughs].

Matt Prepares for Weekend Release & Clears Up Writing Rumors

Matt Damon is looking more stylish every day and this time even lucky Luciana dressed pretty trendy and cute. Matty took a break from promoting The Bourne Ultimatum to have a dinner date at Mastro's in LA this weekend. Too bad they left adorable Isabella at home! We can't wait for Bourne to hit theaters this weekend, and you're pretty excited about it too. We bet Bourne will be able to kick The Simpsons out of their number one spot at the box office.

In other Damon news, turns out that Hawaiian vacation was really just for bonding and beaching. Apparently those screenplay rumors were just that and Matt said, "We're not writing anything together. Not now, anyway." Well, there is still hope.

Matt & Ben Bourne Again On The Red Carpet

After showing off an adventurous tan ensemble while receiving his star yesterday afternoon, Matt was back to gray for the big LA premiere of The Bourne Ultimatum. It was a little Hawaiian vacation reunion when Ben and Jen came out for the premiere. How cute are Matt and Ben together again on the red carpet? Love it. Not sure why the extremely well-paid Ellen Pompeo was in the house, but hey, she looked nice. Three time Bourne bit player Julia Stiles is lovely, but could maybe use a bra. Just saying. We have to wait until August 3rd to see Matt back as awesome Jason Bourne, but this is getting me all excited for the movie all over again. In case you missed the full trailer, check it out here. Matt Damon Still Perfecting Bourne Ultimatum

The fact that Matt Damon is back filming The Bourne Ultimatum in NYC concerns me. This is the second time that he's been back doing reshoots for the movie, which is scheduled to be released August 3. The trailer for Bourne Ultimatum was pretty exciting, but hopefully the fact that they're going back to the drawing board isn't a totally horrible sign about the film. I mean, it's got Matt so it can't be so bad, right?

Matt Knows How to Pick Em

Matt got caught a little off guard (not to mention in a private moment) on the set of The Bourne Ultimatum this week in London. It feels like he's been filming this movie forever, but hopefully these reshoots aren't a bad sign. We can't wait to see the end of the story! As usual, Matt was completely gracious signing autographs between takes. From what we hear, he's always kind to his fans. Matt seems like such a nice guy, it's hard to imagine him as tough as Jason Bourne, but clearly you guys think he'd be the perfect Amazing Race partner! Up next he goes off to shoot The Fighter with Mark Wahlberg which will be another must see.

Will Matt Stop at Bourne Ultimatum?

Matt is still busy on the set of The Bourne Ultimatum in Berlin, the third installment of the Bourne series. I have to say while I have loved the first two I was really disappointed that we didn't learn more about Jason's real identity at the end of Supremacy. So will Jason finally learn the whole story at the end of the third film? Here's highlights:

"He will by the end of this one," Damon said. "I don't know how long we can ride that pony. Maybe he'll get a bump on the head at the end or something."
On doing a fourth Bourne film:
"We have a story and we have a story to tell, but looking at it, to be fair, we go, 'Okay, I think this should be the last one' because I'm half joking, but how long can you [revisit it?] His search for identity is definitely going to come to an end."
Damon continued to joke about the possibilities of a fourth film, in a "Rocky Balboa" sense of tapping the well 20 years later. "I would love that. If I'm like 100 pounds heavier, 'They pulled me back in! They won't let me go!' They're like, 'No, we don't give a sh*t about you. What are you talking about?' Yeah, I think that's actually probably the only way to do another Bourne movie would be to do it 20 years down the road."

Hey, it sorta worked for Sylvester Stallone. As for the series ending after Ultimatum, we hope it's not true, but there were originally only three books in Robert Ludlum's series. Plus we're dying to finally figure out what happened to Jason. For more of my favorite Matt on the set just read more
