This evening we'll watch as Jay Leno resumes his post at The Tonight Show after the long fiasco that we at Sugar HQ fondly refer to as the NBC Late Night Controversy of 2010. Guests Jamie Foxx, Brad Paisley, and Olympian Lindsey Vonn will be there to help welcome the host, as he tries to save face and bounce back in the ratings game.
Frankly, I'm curious to see if Leno can accomplish such a feat.

Boy, I wouldn't want to solve this dilemma for Jay Leno: If he continues supporting the Hollywood writers' strike by staying away from The Tonight Show, his whole crew will be laid off. But if he comes back to work, he has to cross picket lines. Other late-night hosts are in similar jams this week, as their shows enter a second week of repeats and the networks start to get antsy.

It won't be long now till there's a change of leadership in The Tonight Show chair: Conan O'Brien is scheduled to take over the show from Jay Leno in 2009. With the transition time approaching, one of the biggest questions in showbiz has become what will become of Leno, who's still on top of the late-night heap (even more so recently with David Letterman's declining ratings).
Now, the Hollywood Reporter has weighed in on the issue, proposing seven options for Leno's next career move:

The groundwork has been in place for years for Conan O'Brien to take over The Tonight Show from Jay Leno in 2009. But now there's a new twist to the story: Leno doesn't want to leave. Some in the industry are also wondering if Conan's irreverent humor will work in an earlier time slot.

We're in the midst of the late night host kerfluffle happening over at NBC, with no official word since Jeff Gaspin confirmed that they were trying to shuffle Jay Leno, Conan O'Brien, and Jimmy Fallon into later time slots. While there has been no official agreement by any of the hosts, each of the shows must go on, and last night Leno and O'Brien took to their respective stages to address the situation. Naturally, they both make light of the situation, with Conan outlining his options:
