Ensemble drama Parenthood has endured a long road of trials and tribulations, mainly due to original star Maura Tierney's illness and subsequent replacement by Lauren Graham. At long last, the show is finally getting its coming out party with tonight's premiere on NBC.
The hourlong pilot introduces you to the four grown Braverman siblings and each of their children, significant others, and issues.

American Idol is pretty buzzy right now with the news that Simon Cowell is leaving after this season, so when I spotted Kara DioGuardi at the Grammys Style Lounge today, I decided to get a shortlist of possible contenders straight from a judge's mouth. I've got to warn you, two of her picks are pretty surprising, but I like 'em!
I also asked her about her favorite guest judge so far this season (hint: she doesn't name Katy Perry), and to use her expertise to guess who's taking home a Grammy trophy at the big show.

Even though I love talking exhaustively about Lost and The Vampire Diaries, there are plenty of other shows I watch but don't get to do a recap on. Since so many series premiered this year, I'll be checking in periodically to chat about what's going on with those that aren't in my usual roster. Today's show: Cougar Town.

While rumors still circulate about who might replace a departing Simon Cowell (with Howard Stern adding his name to the list of contenders), tonight begins the American Idol makeover!
To kick-start the Hollywood week portion of auditions, we'll be saying good-bye to guest judges as Ellen DeGeneres takes her place on the panel — and I cannot wait to see how she meshes with the team (particularly the curmudgeonly Simon Cowell).
DeGeneres's involvement actually gets me pretty amped for this season.

The editors here at BuzzSugar stand united in our undying love for all things pop culture, but we don't always see eye-to-eye on every topic. After checking out the premiere of The Hills, this morning's water cooler discussion quickly evolved into a debate about whether or not the show can survive with Kristin in Lauren's place.
In corner number one we've got editor B, who is ready to cancel her season pass to the show after last night's episode.

Wow, blink and you may have missed some intense drama on this week's episode of Grey's Anatomy. The Chief's behavior continues to spiral out of control as increased tension develops between Derek and Meredith; Cristina, Owen, and Teddy dance around the elephant in the room; and Izzie returns ready to repair her broken marriage — but how long is she planning to stay?
Love triangles, alcoholics, and the fat lady — or, in this case, man — hasn't even sung.

So, perhaps the name will just be Edwina Salt?
In a curious gender switch and swapping of big Hollywood names, the espionage thriller Edwin A. Salt will now feature Angelina Jolie in the starring role, as a replacement for Tom Cruise.
