I always looked forward to the annual Friends Thanksgiving episode, and though it's off the air now, I can still rely on some of my current favorites to celebrate the holidays. I can't wait to see what the gang on HIMYM and Gossip Girl will be up to from behind their servings of turkey, before Christmas comes early to Grey's Anatomy and Desperate Housewives. For the special holiday, I'm posting clips from a Thanksgiving episode of Scrubs in which JD has to have his appendix removed and can't enjoy Thanksgiving. The best line is toward the end, from a wistful JD: "Ah, uncomfortable silences and alcohol, just like Thanksgiving at home."

The WB Celebrates Turkey Day with Friends, The OC, and More

Over the course of its 10 seasons, Friends served up some pretty classic Thanksgiving episodes. Now, with this year's turkey day fast approaching, The WB.com has put all nine of the Thanksgiving episodes together in one place.

Yes, that includes the football game episode from the third season and - maybe biggest of all - the Brad Pitt appearance from season eight, which not only just shook things up at the friends' Thanksgiving dinner but also got Pitt an Emmy nomination.

And that's just a little taste of what the online network is offering for the holiday. There's also a Thanksgiving- and food-themed Friends trivia quiz, plus a whole lot of Thanksgiving episodes of other WB shows. "Thank You" Songs: A Thanksgiving Playlist

This week people around the country will be saying thanks for their blessings: family, friends, good health, etc. So it's a fitting time to make a playlist of music that captures this sentiment in song. Many popular songs that express gratitude have to do with thanking a romantic partner for his/her love, but there are plenty of tunes that are simply thankful for someone's kindness (Natalie Merchant's "Kind and Generous") or for good friendship ("Thank You for Being a Friend" by Andrew Gold, later covered and used for the Golden Girls theme song).
