She was subtly adorable in <a href="http://imdb.com/title/tt0118884/" target="_blank">Contact</a>, appropriately edgy in <a href="http://imdb.com/title/tt0246578/" target="_blank">Donnie Darko</a>, and awesome in <a href="http://imdb.com/title/tt0332375/" target="_blank">Saved!</a></p> <p>Now, the actress is pursuing a music career, and while those words usually mean trouble, I'm happy to say that the first song, which <a href="http://pitchforkmedia.com/page/forkcast/41309#Jena_Malone_Exclusive_Premiere_Jena_" target="_blank">premiered yesterday on Pitchfork</a>, actually sounds pretty promising. The mature, PJ Harvey-esque ballad is called "Tested Dry," and it will appear on Malone's debut 7-inch later this year.
