Song of the Day: Jena Malone, "Tested Dry"
Ever since I saw her in the TV movie version of Ellen Foster, I have been a big fan of actress Jena Malone. She was subtly adorable in Contact, appropriately edgy in Donnie Darko, and awesome in Saved!
Now, the actress is pursuing a music career, and while those words usually mean trouble, I'm happy to say that the first song, which premiered yesterday on Pitchfork, actually sounds pretty promising.
