Oxygen's Talk Sex with Sue is ending this week, but its sassy 77-year-old host promises she'll keep giving lectures, the Associated Press reports.
AMC has renewed Breaking Bad for a 13-episode second season, writes the Hollywood Reporter.
According to Variety, Eva Mendes, Josh Hartnett and Ben Kingsley will topline Queen of the South (La reina del sur), an adaptation of the bestselling novel by Spanish author Arturo Perez Reverte.
The Screen Actors Guild and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers have broken off talks without a contract, raising new fears about an actors' strike, TV Guide reports.

Glee-Ful Highlights From Episode "Saturday Night Glee-ver"

It turns out that disco isn't dead after all - it's alive and kicking on this week's episode of Glee. In search of an assignment and a way to get through to a few of his troubled students, Mr. Schue finds the answer in the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack. So what does that mean for us? A little Bee Gees, a little hustle, and a lot of white polyester.

As we get closer to McKinley High's graduation day, the seniors are getting more antsy about their future plans. Even Mr. Schue is starting to get worried about a select three - Finn, Santana, and Mercedes - because they don't have anything set in motion yet. Ready to break down all the big moments? Just

Disco isn't exactly my favorite genre (is it anyone's anymore?), but the episode kicks things off on a good note with a performance of "You Should Be Dancing." Even if it seemingly comes from nowhere, the number got my attention thanks to featuring the three best dancers - Blaine, Mike, and Brittany - in an upbeat number.
If you were missing Mr. Schue's sweet, sweet falsetto, then this episode provides a special treat. Not only does Will lend his pipes to "Night Fever," but we also get to sample some of Sue's moves. I know that Sue is on Team New Directions now, but something about her smiling and grooving out on the dance floor felt bizarre.
Mercedes uses a performance of "Disco Inferno" to prove that she's not just a wayward sheep: she's got big dreams of following in the footsteps of the likes of Mariah and Aretha. The only problem is that she's too scared to act. Luckily, Sam's there to be her white knight with an iPhone. He takes a video of her performing and puts it on YouTube, which gives her a much needed self-esteem boost. It also wins Sam a big smooch for being so supportive. It's about time those two crazy kids got back together!
My favorite performance of the night doesn't even come from the gleeks. It's courtesy of Wade (played by The Glee Project's Alex Newell), who worships Mercedes and Kurt. After he meets them, he decides to perform at Regionals as his female alter ego, "Unique." Oh, and did I mention that he's a member of Vocal Adrenaline? Kurt and Mercedes are conflicted about whether or not they should let Wade go through with it, but in the end he takes the bull by the horns and brings the house down with "Boogie Shoes." Jesse St. James is not pleased, but something tells me that Unique will be the new secret weapon of Vocal Adrenaline.
Mercedes isn't the only one with someone in her corner. Santana's dead set on becoming famous, but Mr. Schue is skeptical about how she'll get there. Brittany steps in to help, except for Brittany, "helping" means making a sex tape that's hilariously called "Two Girls One Cat," featuring Lord Tubbington of course. Santana's a little peeved, but I was surprised at how well she takes the news that everyone in school is talking about her. The whole mess gets cleaned up in no time, because Brittany and Sue have conspired to get Santana a full cheerleading scholarship in college. That's two gleeks who have gotten someone else to fill out college applications for them. Just once, I would like to see that happen in real life.
Rachel and Finn recover from their fight about the future, but Finn's still having serious doubts about whether or not he can make it in the real world as anything other than a competitive eater. He's basically convinced that he peaked in high school, but all it takes is one magical viewing of Saturday Night Fever to make him realize his dream of going inside the actors studio. He tells Rachel that he's ready to go to New York with her, and struts around to "Stayin' Alive" to show off his newfound confidence.

Though this isn't my favorite episode, the scenes for next week's Glee already have me looking forward to a whole lotta Whitney Houston. How'd you feel about the disco flashback?

Glee-Ful Highlights From Episode "Sexy"

After much anticipation, Gwyneth Paltrow is back as Holly Holliday on this week's episode of Glee. She's brought in as the sub for sex education, because apparently all of McKinley High, teachers included, needs it. Along with the sex ed, the focus expands to include love, relationships, and sexuality. The revelations are pretty explosive for some characters, who realize important things about themselves, and by the end, there are almost as many new connections as there are breakups.

While much of the dialogue gets very PSA-like, it's an interesting episode that pushes along lots of developments - and it's fun, of course, to see Paltrow back on the show. To discuss all the show's happenings with me, just

Holly's sex education skills turn out to be desperately needed when Brittany becomes worried that she's pregnant . . . because she saw a stork outside her window. Sigh. We get it. Brittany's dumb, but between this and her believing there's still a Santa, the writers are making her stupidity unbelievable. In any case, it's the contrivance that's needed to convince Will that he needs Holly's help to get all the glee kids informed (P.S. Why do we need to see Gwyneth as an aerobics instructor? She looks great, but the tangent makes zero sense). Holly shows up to the class clad in head-to-toe leather to perform "Do You Wanna Touch Me" and flinging zingers like "Sex: It's just like hugging, only wetter." While she sounds great, it doesn't seem to leave any of the kids any more informed than before. But if you loved the performance, watch it again now.

On the opposite spectrum of open sexuality is Emma, who oversees the return of the Celibacy Club. Pushing "chastity charms," celibacy is her own agenda because she's been married to Carl for months but has still retained her virginity. After she recruits Carl to perform "Afternoon Delight" with the club (because Emma naively believes the song is about an afternoon dessert of coconut, pineapple, and marshmallow fluff, not afternoon sex), Carl asks Holly if they can stop by for some sex therapy. When they announce they haven't slept together yet, Holly comes straight out and asks Emma if she's still in love with Will. When she can only say she's confused about her feelings, Carl informs her that he's moving out.
Holly is also a little confused about her feelings for Mr. Schue. After a cringe-inducing performance of "Kiss" (between the horrible tango and the screechy singing, it's the worst musical number of the night), Will takes a cue from the song title and plants one on Holly, and then asks her out. She declines, saying she's damaged goods. However, at the end of the episode, she stops by the school to tell Will that her over-the-top antics got her relieved of her sex ed duties - and that she might be ready for a relationship with him. I admit that Will and Holly have great chemistry, but realistically, it can't work. Well, unless Paltrow is made a series regular - which, if they toned down her character, I'd be OK with.
Santana and Brittany are still hooking up, but Brittany admits to Santana that she's confused about their relationship. They seek out Holly to help them determine what the nature of their connection is, and inexplicably, singing the song "Landslide" is the solution. I have no idea why this works, but the Holly/Brittany/Santana performance brings out Santana's serious side. She finds Brittany in the hall later, and tells her that she's a bitch all the time because she's angry. She's angry because she wants to be with Brittany but is afraid of all the implications, especially in light of how Kurt was treated as a gay student. When Santana says that she loves her, Brittany returns the feeling but says she loves Artie too and won't break up with him. Heartbroken and embarrassed, Santana storms off. Whoa. I don't know if I'm more surprised that Santana comes out or that she blames her meanness on her confusion.
Sue tries to feed Kurt and Blaine the "top secret intel" that New Directions is going sexy for Regionals, so Blaine tries to bring out the Warbler's sexy side by performing for the local all-girls school. Their Warblers's version of "Animal" isn't really sexy, but it is very cute. Post-performance, Blaine decides that Kurt's sexy faces are a cry for help. Feeling that Kurt must be closed off about sex, Blaine reaches out to Kurt's dad, urging him to talk to his son. He begrudgingly initiates a sex talk with Kurt, and despite their mutual distaste for the situation, the fact that the talk is more about the feelings sex can bring up makes it kind of touching.
Two other relationships move forward this week, but in different ways. First, Lauren's determination to make a sex tape with Puck is derailed by Holly telling them that it would be a crime. This somehow spurs Puck to do the least-Puck and least believable thing he could: join the Celibacy Club. There's just no way he believes what he tells Lauren about joining, but she still wants to keep seeing him (despite her belief that the club is for nerds). Meanwhile, there's another little reveal: Quinn and Finn have been secretly hooking up. I can't tell if Quinn is really into Finn or if she just wants her queen bee status back, so we'll just have to wait and see if they'll be the golden couple once again.

So, how did Gwyneth do in her second outing? I give her a mixed report card. While her character gets straight up obnoxious at some points (though it's not her fault that she has to say things like "Girlfriend, what is up with that?"), she sounds fantastic, especially on "Do You Wanna Touch Me." Besides her, were you surprised at anything, like Santana's realization or Carl and Emma's breakup? Matthew Morrison Bares Gleeful Shirtless Abs on the Beach For Details!

Mr. Schuester can't stop showing off his abs! Matthew Morrison and his amazing shirtless body posed with his paddle board on the beach for the December issue of Details, which is out on Nov. 30. The actor impressed you with his pecs in Vogue last Spring and has stripped down for a few episodes of Glee this season, including last night when Gwyneth Paltrow joined in on the fun. Sue Sylvester also let out a few classic zingers and if you need even more Glee in your life, their holiday album came out yesterday. In the article Matthew talks about being a role model for the younger cast, his relationship status, and his sex appeal. Here are highlights:

On his freewheeling theater days: "I definitely hooked up with a lot of girls when I was a young guy on Broadway. It was exciting. Very joyous and free. . . I’m not comfortable with the idea of my sex appeal, but I know in my job I have to use it. I wish I could say I got to this point in my career based on my talent, but I don’t think that’s true."
On his Glee cast and fame: "I am a teacher to them. I’ve taken a few under my wing. I don’t want to say they idolize me, but…Yeah, I find myself learning a lot from the set. I do look at stuff people on the show are doing, and I don’t judge them, but I question it. I say to myself, 'Keep quiet.' Fame … it’s like a handgun – in the wrong hands, it’s dangerous."
On his love life: "I’m not a good friend right now. I’m not a good boyfriend. It’s not that I’m selfish. I’m just focused."
