Natalie Portman Makes Her Postbaby Event Debut!

Natalie Portman made one her first public appearances last night after welcoming her son, Aleph Millepied, earlier this year. Joining other stars like Mindy Kaling, director Jason Reitman, and Steve Carell, Natalie participated in the Film Independent At LACMA series with a live reading of the 1960 Billy Wilder film The Apartment in LA. Rounding out the cast were Collette Wolfe, Jake Johnson, Pierce Brosnan, Ken Jeong, and Nick Kroll. Mindy tweeted about Natalie's good looks postbaby with her characteristic humor. She wrote, "Surprised to see Steve Carell and Natalie Portman both looking like teenagers. Ugh, so unfair - kill me."

Natalie has been on the West Coast with her young son Aleph as well as her fiancé Benjamin Millepied. The family of three caught up with West Coast-based friends following a whirlwind Fall of traveling that included time in NYC, France, and Switzerland. Natalie and Benjamin have made sure to offer Aleph some culture while in California and were seen showing him the Huntington Library and gardens just a few weeks ago.

People's Choice Are a Taylor-ed, Tipsy, Fun and Festive Affair!

The red carpet sexiness was just a precursor to the excitement of the People's Choice Awards show. Queen Latifah was once again host for the star-studded evening and kept the clip quick for the two-hour show. Ellen was the night's first winner - check out the full list here! Sacha Baron Cohen finished off the show with a funny presentation to his Sweeney Todd costar and Favorite Movie Actor of the Decade, Johnny Depp. Country sweethearts Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood both walked away with statues and there was no on camera Lautner-Swift run-in. One of the cutest parts of the show was when Inglourious Basterds' Diane Kruger, Eli Roth and BJ Novak announced Lautner's win with cheering. Nicole Kidman sported gloves as she held hands with Keith Urban, who was named Favorite Male Artist, after they posed with Latifah and boy Taylor.

Mariah Carey had to have some help on her way up to the stage to accept for Favorite R&B Artist, and once she and Nick Cannon made it to the press room she was ready to joke about her Palm Springs appearance that had everyone talking, announcing to the press, "Everybody in the club's getting tipsy!" Sandra Bullock got a little emotional accepting one of her awards of the night, but backstage she was all about joking with her fellow-winner and The Proposal castmate Ryan Reynolds. Valentine's Day costars Jessica Alba and Ashton Kutcher posed together backstage after she awarded him the web celeb honors - which he of course streamed live on his Twitter. It was a great night all around, and we're so excited for all the fun and madness coming up all award season long!

It Was A Very Well-Rounded Emmy Show

Ryan Seacrest put his best hosting face forward at last night's Emmy Awards, but it was the round stage that really stole the show. The concept was cool, but it definitely made for some awkward moments, right? The Rainn Wilson/Kanye West version of Don't Forget The Lyrics was a highlight, along with Steve Carell "stealing" Ricky Gervais' Emmy. Dempsey = McDreamier than ever, yes? Christina/Tony also did a great job at a show that was obviously paying homage to Bennett in a lot of ways (icymi, check out the performance here). Hopefully the Jersey Boys tribute to The Sopranos made Tony Soprano Proud. Check out Buzz's take on the big show, but what did you think about it? Highlights? Lowlights? Did Seacrest make you laugh?

"The Office" Recap, Episode 18: "Cocktails"

Last night's episode of "The Office" was packed with plot development (and "Office" bingo opportunities). Michael and Jan take their romance public at a party hosted by the CFO, where Jan asks Michael to sign a "love contract" and Jim is treated to a tour of Karen's ex-boyfriends (or so we think). Meanwhile, the rest of the Dunder-Mifflin staff got their drink on a local bar, where Creed admits he used to run a small fake I.D. business and Roy reveals his true jackass colors.

Even amid the drama, there were plenty of great lines and highlights. I'd love to share them all with you, but unfortunately, a major technical malfunction caused me to lose all of my notes. Thankfully, I managed to scrape together some memorable lines, but I need your help in remembering the best quotes. To see mine and to add your own,

Jim on why he doesn't want to attend the party: “I don’t like talking paper in my spare time. (Or my work time.) And did I use the word 'pointless'?"
After Michael signs the love contract, Jan asks: "What's that over the 'i'?" Michael: "That's a heart."
Pondering the future, Jan imagines a "best case scenario," wherein she gets married and has kids, and a worse case scenario, in which she collapses on herself like a dying star.
Jan: "Why is this so hard? Um... that's what she said. Oh my God, what am I saying?"

NBA All-Stars Lives Up to Its Name

It's not called the NBA All-Star Game for nothing. Tons of celebs were on hand to sit courtside and cheer on their favorite players in Vegas this weekend. There's no question who Eva Longoria was there to support, although it looks like Jeremy Piven was having a good time trying to distract her and Cameron from the game. Keep dreaming, Jeremy! "The Office" Recap: Episode 16, "Phyllis' Wedding"

In this week's "The Office," Phyllis and Bob Vance got married and everyone was invited. Michael got a second chance at being in a wedding, when Phyllis asked him to push her father's wheelchair down the aisle, but he still managed to make things awkward. Meanwhile, the Pam-Jim-Karen saga continued. Check out my highlights from the episode below.

Michael: "It's a big day for Phyllis, but it's an even bigger day for me. Employer of the bride!" He adds that since he's the one who pays Phyllis' salary, "It's like I'm paying for the wedding - which I am happy to do."
Pam: "Phyllis used the same invitations as Roy and me, so when I got the invitation, I thought I was being invited to my own wedding."
Dwight: "Hi Angela. You look like the Queen of England."
Dwight explains that the Shrutes have their own tradition: When getting married, they stand in their own graves. "The funerals are very romantic, but the weddings are a dreary affair."

When Phyllis' father gets up from the wheelchair to walk her down the aisle, Michael turns to the camera and says, "This is bullshit." Later, he says that pushing Phyllis' dad down the aisle was supposed to be the highlight of the wedding. "Now, the wedding has no highlight."

Michael says that the key to any good speech is in the opening, and if one doesn't work, he'll try a few more: Michael says he will act as "tour guide" in the story of Phyllis and Bob, which is "one of the great, seemingly impossible love stories of our time." Dwight decides to identify wedding crashers and report them to Phyllis, because that way he doesn't have to get her a gift. In his investigation, Dwight kicks out elderly Uncle Al, who has dementia.

After Toby's date catches the bridal bouquet, Toby does a celebratory gesture and exclaims, "TOBY!"

"The Office" Recap: Episode 14, "Ben Franklin"

This week's episode of "The Office" was fraught with sexual innuendo, as Michael tries to provide bachelor and bachelorette parties in honor of Phyllis' wedding. Among other things, we now know what Dwight looks like when wearing a bra - and what Michael looks like trying to remove Dwight's bra.

There were so many gems this week, so check out my list of highlights:

After giving himself an electric shock, Michael makes a video for a son he might have someday, saying, "I had an epiphery. Life is precious. And if I die, I want my son to know the dealio. The dealio of life."
"What's up, spinstahs?!" Michael, greeting the women who are getting ready for Phyllis' bridal shower.
Instead of a Guys Night Out, Michael says the bachelor party will be more of a Guys' Afternoon In, or a GAI (pronounced "gay"). "It's a bridal shower for guys. A guy shower. An hour-long shower with guys."

Many more great highlights, so

Todd Packer calms Michael's fear that a stripper will constitute as sexual harassment by telling him to get a male stripper for the women as well, making it "separate but equal." Michael says, "So that's what that means."
Instead of getting a male stripper, Jim calls the Scholastic Speakers of Pennsylvania and hires a Ben Franklin impersonator for Phyllis' bridal shower. Thinking he's still a stripper, Michael introduces "Ben Franklin" thusly: "Who here is a history buff? Who's a fan of buff naked? Without further ado, the one, the only, the sexy, Mr. Benjamin Franklin!"
Michael: "Mr. Franklin, I would say you were probably one of the sexiest presidents ever." Ben Franklin: "Well, actually, I never was president." Michael, whispering: "Yes, but Ben Franklin was."
Jim: "Have you ever seen a stripper before?" Dwight: "Yes. Jennifer Garner portrayed one on 'Alias.' It was one of her many aliases." Jim: "Yeah, me neither."
When the stripper arrives, Jim and Dwight greet her in the parking lot. Michael texts Jim from inside the building, "Is she hot?" Dwight, right in front of the woman: "Text back: 'Kind of.'"
Ben Franklin ties a cherry stem with his tongue, saying he can do that because he is a Renaissance Man.
Michael, having grilled steaks on the same George Foreman grill on which he burned his foot last season, asks the men who wants some "man meat." Dwight: "I do! I want some man meat!" Jim: "Michael, Dwight would like your man meat." Michael: "Well then, my man meat he shall have."
Michael gets a lap dance from the stripper and comments, "Mmm... you smell nice. Like Tide."
"Well, Ben Franklin, you're really kind of a sleazebag." -Michael, after talking with Ben Franklin about his romantic problems
"I don't care what Jim says, that is not the real Ben Franklin. I am 99% sure." -Dwight
Michael: "So you don't want to end our relationship?" Jan: "I'm closer to firing you." Michael: "That is so sweet."
Dwight, testing the Ben Franklin impersonator: "Are you near-sighted or far-sighted?" Ben Franklin: "Both. That's why I invented the bifocal." Dwight lets out a frustrated scream.

NBC doesn't usually put full episodes of "The Office" online, but for this week's episode, they've done something even better. A special producer's cut of "The Return" is available free on the show's official site. The 28-minute video includes some great jokes that didn't make it to air, including Michael suggesting Oscar decorate the back of his car with rainbow stickers and Andy getting sent away to management training - anger management, that is. It's definitely worth a watch.

"The Office" Recap, Episode 12: "Traveling Salesmen"

As always, last night's episode of "The Office" was full of hilarious moments and great quotes. While Michael challenges everyone to a sales "Amazing Race," Andy tries to sabotage Dwight in his efforts to become Michael's right-hand man. Angela misses her deadline to hand in tax forms to the corporate office, so Dwight rushes to New York to hand the forms in for her. When questioned by a suspicious Michael, Dwight avoids 'fessing up to his relationship with Angela by resigning from Dunder Mifflin.

Here are some of my favorite moments from this week's episode:

"I'm very flattered. I'm his second choice after 'Pass.'" - Ryan, after Stanley chooses him as his teammate
On Karen and Phyllis' sales calls, Phyllis brings Karen to a beauty salon to get a makeover. In the car she tells Karen that Jim used to be hung up on Pam, adding, "You can pay me back later for the makeover."

Who Went to Sandals with Michael Scott?

Ever since last week's episode of "The Office," I've been wondering who took Michael up on his invitation to Sandals Jamaica after his girlfriend dumped him. Now, NBC has started airing a promo that might answer my question. In the clip, Pam points to a computer screen and says "Oh my god! Is that Jan?" Then a picture of a topless blonde on a lounge chair flashes onto the screen as Michael protests. If you missed it the first time, the one-hour holiday special airs again tonight. To find out who the mystery woman is, you'll have to wait until "The Office" comes back Jan. 4.
