Reuters reports that the Writers Guild of America has canceled its own awards show, promptly after announcing this year's nominees.
According to ComingSoon, Salma Hayek will play the bearded lady in the horror drama Cirque du Freak, which also stars John C. Reilly.
First Reuben and Taylor, now this: Former American Idol contestant Katharine McPhee has also left RCA Records, Billboard reports.

Steve Buscemi as an ornery gingerbread man who can't get people to stop eating his house? Count me in - especially when Norm MacDonald is playing his gingerbread son. Like TV Squad, I'm loving this ad for the AT&T GoPhone, mostly just because it's so funny to hear Buscemi's voice coming out of an icing-heavy gingerbread mouth. First Look: Sienna Miller, Steve Buscemi in Interview

I first heard of Interview back in January when the movie screened at Sundance. Now, with a release date of July 13, a trailer has hit the Web and I must say I am completely intrigued. Directed by Steve Buscemi, Interview is a remake of a film by Dutch director Theo Van Gogh and it takes place over the course of one night. Buscemi plays a respected political journalist named Pierre who has been tasked with interviewing a young starlet (Sienna Miller) about whom he knows nothing. The unlikely pair spend an evening interviewing each other.

With that seemingly simplistic setup, I'm impressed with how much palpable tension there already is in just the trailer. Buscemi is utterly guileless for a change, not relying on goofiness but rather adopting a kind of careworn professionalism. For her part, Miller acts in the way she has, in recent months, been painted to be in tabloid stories: egotistic, immature, and in love with her own "career" even though it doesn't appear to have much substance yet. TV Tonight: 30 Rock Season 4 Premiere

Nearly all the Fall TV shows have had their premieres, but there's one more we've all been waiting for: the fourth season premiere of 30 Rock! As we saw earlier this week in the behind-the-scenes clip from tonight's episode, Jack makes Liz go on a talent search for new stars of TGS, upsetting Tracy and Jenna. A strike ensues, and Steve Buscemi guests stars again (yay!).

I'm so happy that NBC's Thursday night comedy block is complete again (Community starts at 8, followed by Parks and Recreation and The Office).

On the other hand, 30 Rock's return does pose a bit of a problem; it goes up against Grey's Anatomy and Fringe (can you say TiVo fight?). Will you be watching?
