Two new shows - Fear Itself and Swingtown - are premiering, while an established Summer favorite - So You Think You Can Dance - reveals its top 20 contestants. Plus, there's the start of the NBA finals and the end of Step It Up and Dance. So, what will you be watching?

How Do You Feel About the TV Dancing Show Trend?

Tonight, after the finale of Make Me a Supermodel (I'm on Team Holly, by the way), Bravo will premiere its latest reality series: Step It Up and Dance, which pits 12 aspiring dancers together in a contest to master styles from ballet to burlesque.

The show, which comes from the folks behind Project Runway and Top Chef and is hosted by Elizabeth Berkley, is just the latest of a huge crop of dance shows that have popped up both on network TV and cable in the past couple of years. There's Dancing with the Stars, of course, and So You Think You Can Dance, plus J. Lo's Dancelife, America's Best Dance Crew on MTV, Your Mama Don't Dance on Lifetime, and the rumored Dance Machine on ABC.

When I asked Jerry Mitchell, the famed choreographer who will serve as the mentor on Step It Up and Dance, why there were so many dance shows on the air, he chalked it up to a little bit of wish fulfillment. "Dance is like a bird flying for most people," he said. "It’s something everyone wants to do, but very few can." What do you think is up with the dancing craze? A Body Check That Won't Hurt: Tips For Proper Running Form

Running is all about stepping one foot in front of the other. Sounds easy enough, right? But if your running form is incorrect, you'll end up with aches, strains, and injuries that could prevent you from lacing up your sneaks at all. Make sure to avoid these running-form mistakes the next time you hit the treadmill, trail, or pavement.

Head: It sometimes feels good to close your eyes and relax your chin toward your chest, but don't keep your head down (or tilt your head up) for long periods of time. Prevent neck strain and encourage an open throat for easy breathing by keeping your head stacked over your spine. Correct head position also encourages a straight, upright stance, which makes you a more efficient runner.
Shoulders: Without even realizing it, you may be running with your upper back and shoulders tensed up toward your ears. (And you wonder why you have a pounding headache or aching neck.) Every so often, take a nice deep breath in and as you exhale, relax your upper torso and actively roll your shoulders back and down toward your pelvis. Do a self-check to make sure your shoulders are stacked over the hips. Hunching the upper body forward not only makes it difficult to breathe, it also puts pressure on your lower back.

Magic Mike Trailer: Channing Tatum Is a Stripper With Big Dreams

If you fell in love with Channing Tatum's sweet dance moves in Step Up, then you're going to love the trailer for Magic Mike. Not only does Tatum showcase his skills once again, but this time he also takes his clothes off. Tatum plays the titular "Magic" Mike, a stripper with hoards of fans and enough $1 bills to make it rain on a regular basis. Though he's good-natured about his line of work, Mike dreams of getting out of the exotic-dancing game and into . . . making furniture.

Yes, the premise is silly, but that's part of the appeal of the Steven Soderbergh film: it doesn't take itself too seriously. Instead of seeing a Chippendales-style line of pretty boys (Alex Pettyfer, Joe Manganiello, and Matt Bomer also star), the preview focuses more on Mike's romance with his friend's sister (Cody Horn). My only issue is that this carefree, Summer party movie feels a bit like a step back for Tatum, who's already had two No. 1 movies this year. Then again, a little mindless, shirtless fun never hurt anyone.

Glee-Ful Highlights From Episode "Saturday Night Glee-ver"

It turns out that disco isn't dead after all - it's alive and kicking on this week's episode of Glee. In search of an assignment and a way to get through to a few of his troubled students, Mr. Schue finds the answer in the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack. So what does that mean for us? A little Bee Gees, a little hustle, and a lot of white polyester.

As we get closer to McKinley High's graduation day, the seniors are getting more antsy about their future plans. Even Mr. Schue is starting to get worried about a select three - Finn, Santana, and Mercedes - because they don't have anything set in motion yet. Ready to break down all the big moments? Just

Disco isn't exactly my favorite genre (is it anyone's anymore?), but the episode kicks things off on a good note with a performance of "You Should Be Dancing." Even if it seemingly comes from nowhere, the number got my attention thanks to featuring the three best dancers - Blaine, Mike, and Brittany - in an upbeat number.
If you were missing Mr. Schue's sweet, sweet falsetto, then this episode provides a special treat. Not only does Will lend his pipes to "Night Fever," but we also get to sample some of Sue's moves. I know that Sue is on Team New Directions now, but something about her smiling and grooving out on the dance floor felt bizarre.
Mercedes uses a performance of "Disco Inferno" to prove that she's not just a wayward sheep: she's got big dreams of following in the footsteps of the likes of Mariah and Aretha. The only problem is that she's too scared to act. Luckily, Sam's there to be her white knight with an iPhone. He takes a video of her performing and puts it on YouTube, which gives her a much needed self-esteem boost. It also wins Sam a big smooch for being so supportive. It's about time those two crazy kids got back together!
My favorite performance of the night doesn't even come from the gleeks. It's courtesy of Wade (played by The Glee Project's Alex Newell), who worships Mercedes and Kurt. After he meets them, he decides to perform at Regionals as his female alter ego, "Unique." Oh, and did I mention that he's a member of Vocal Adrenaline? Kurt and Mercedes are conflicted about whether or not they should let Wade go through with it, but in the end he takes the bull by the horns and brings the house down with "Boogie Shoes." Jesse St. James is not pleased, but something tells me that Unique will be the new secret weapon of Vocal Adrenaline.
Mercedes isn't the only one with someone in her corner. Santana's dead set on becoming famous, but Mr. Schue is skeptical about how she'll get there. Brittany steps in to help, except for Brittany, "helping" means making a sex tape that's hilariously called "Two Girls One Cat," featuring Lord Tubbington of course. Santana's a little peeved, but I was surprised at how well she takes the news that everyone in school is talking about her. The whole mess gets cleaned up in no time, because Brittany and Sue have conspired to get Santana a full cheerleading scholarship in college. That's two gleeks who have gotten someone else to fill out college applications for them. Just once, I would like to see that happen in real life.
Rachel and Finn recover from their fight about the future, but Finn's still having serious doubts about whether or not he can make it in the real world as anything other than a competitive eater. He's basically convinced that he peaked in high school, but all it takes is one magical viewing of Saturday Night Fever to make him realize his dream of going inside the actors studio. He tells Rachel that he's ready to go to New York with her, and struts around to "Stayin' Alive" to show off his newfound confidence.

Though this isn't my favorite episode, the scenes for next week's Glee already have me looking forward to a whole lotta Whitney Houston. How'd you feel about the disco flashback?

Channing Tatum Suits Up on the Eve of His Magic Mike Dancing Debut

Channing Tatum stepped out of his trailer yesterday on the NYC set of his latest film, The Bitter Pill. He shares the screen with Jude Law, Rooney Mara, and Catherine Zeta-Jones in the Steven Soderbergh directed film. The story follows Rooney, who plays Channing's wife, as she tries to control her anxiety about his upcoming release from prison through the use of prescription medication.

This isn't the first time Channing's teamed up with Soderbergh, the pair first worked together on last year's action thriller Haywire, and then again on the male-stripper flick, Magic Mike. The star-studded, shirtless, dance film has some of the hottest names in Hollywood taking off their shirts - and more! Fans will get the first glimpse of shirtless Channing, Matt Bomer, Matthew McConaughey, Joe Manganiello, and the rest of the guys when the Magic Mike trailer debuts today!

Grey's Anatomy Rundown, "Support System"

We take a painful trip down memory lane on this week's Grey's Anatomy, as the story behind Owen's affair unfolds through flashbacks. Actually, it's even more depressing to see Cristina and Owen hashing it out in real time, as the tension, bickering, and tears between the couple feel all too real.

Their staycation has an effect on their peers, too, since they call in sick with the "flu" (this might mark the first time anyone on this show has opted to take a day off), which prompts Mark to get drunk on the power of being the temporary chief of surgery. Ready to break down the emotional episode? Just

Cristina demands to hear the story of Owen's one-night stand, and he acquiesces even though he doesn't want to hurt her. The fateful mistake is slowly revealed, with the story cutting to gut-wrenching shots of Cristina sobbing in real time, and it's also interspersed with memories of all of the fights that led to the downfall of Owen and Cristina's relationship. Eventually, Owen packs up and leaves, but not before assuring Cristina that she's the love of his life, and that he'll never love anyone else. Overall, it feels very, very bleak, leaving me with no hope for these two at all.
We learn that the other woman (who remains nameless since Owen doesn't even remember it) came into the hospital with her friend, who was a patient of Owen's. After Owen saves her life, they get a drink at the bar, and naturally, that turns into a few more. At the end of the night, Owen lingers just a little too long saying goodbye (that's always how it happens, am I right?) and the woman asks to be kissed. Owen tries to resist a few times, and despite my loud screams at the TV, he gives in to temptation.
It feels like the doctors have been studying for their boards forever, but now they're heading into the home stretch. Meredith is sitting pretty thanks to the "Torres method," while Alex and April browbeat poor Lexie - who isn't even taking the boards - to act as their human textbook. It isn't long before Jackson and even Meredith (as a proxy for Cristina) pile on her. Luckily, Meredith eventually comes to her rescue (though scolding the other doctors seems a bit hypocritical). I'll forgive her though, because she starts her own study group at her house for her friends - and even Cristina joins in.
While the chief's away, the Sloan will play. More specifically, he'll play chief. Armed with his bluetooth headset and his lackey Avery, Mark goes into full dictator mode to step into Owen's shoes. He ticks off everyone who comes into his path: he tries to impart cheesy words of wisdom to Derek, forces Jackson to have "beef with the chief," and meddles in most of the surgeries. Webber is the only one who refuses to take him seriously; as a former chief himself, he overthrows Mark's orders, and in one of his famous speeches, makes Mark realize that a chief can't be a perfectionist. The real twist: we learn at the end of the episode that Owen had never asked for Sloan to fill in at all.
Teddy is finally ready to go out again, but her friends aren't up for the challenge. Callie and Arizona try to round up the other surgeons for "ladies' night," but over the course of the night becomes clear that everyone would rather be, um, salsa dancing instead. Just when everyone is about to bail, Arizona realizes that they need to be there for Teddy.

Channing and Jenna Head East For a Night of Song and Dance

Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan were side by side last night as they headed through LAX. The pair boarded a flight for NYC, where they're expected to participate in a fun charity event tomorrow at Carnegie Hall. Channing and Jenna will take the stage at the Revlon Concert for the Rainforest Fund, along with Meryl Streep, Sting, Elton John, James Taylor, Jennifer Hudson, and Bruno Mars. Channing and Jenna may sing, as the event's theme is "Songs From the Silver Screen." The couple, who met while making the dance flick Step Up, will also show off their moves. They've apparently been practicing, as Jenna recently posted a photo of her and Channing dancing at a studio.

Channing has a brief break in his moviemaking schedule, but plans for one of his next projects are coming together. He's set to star in Jupiter Ascending, and Mila Kunis may have a role as his leading lady.

Channing Says He Never Loved a Costar as Much as Jonah - Except, of Course, Wife Jenna

Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill were in NYC last weekend to chat all about their comedy 21 Jump Street. The guys dished about their bromance, with Channing saying he's never fallen in love with a costar so much - except, of course, with his Step Up leading lady Jenna Dewan, who's now his wife. The guys also chatted about high school, dance moves, and surprising things they learned about each other during production on the film. Jonah, who was memorably pranked by his Moneyball costar Brad Pitt, was the victim of another hilarious joke from Channing too.

On Allie: Theyskens' Theory
