"I meet people all over the country who ask me, 'Where can I find someone like you without getting on national TV?' This company is my answer to them," said London. Services, such as personal shopping, closet audits, and closet shopping, will begin Sept. 12 in Washington, where McLaughlin lives, but will eventually extend to other cities like New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, Boston, etc. The goal is to have 2,000 to 2,500 stylists in four years. As the years pass, so do the grays of our lives. (Groan, I know.) Yet some people, like Stacy London, have a streak of whitish hair on an otherwise solid mane. I wondered if that was a style choice, until on one episode of What Not To Wear, Stacy explained that she's had it since she was a child.

Hair color is controlled by several different genes, each contributing to the pigment color. In addition, the genes determine the color's concentration in the hair shaft. If a patch of skin had a somatic mutation, it could inactivate one or more genes that control the pigment deposition, leaving a lighter patch of skin on her scalp similar to a birthmark. TV Tonight: What Not to Wear Takes on Blossom

A lot of the women who end up on TLC's What Not to Wear are stuck wearing the style of a certain decade, and it becomes Stacy and Clinton's job to snap them out of it. I'm always curious how these women come to cling to styles of decades past, whether it's a steadfast commitment to acid-washed jeans or an unwillingness to give up the Doc Martens. But it's pretty clear how the makeover recipient on tonight's season premiere came to get stuck in her style rut, considering that, well, she once played Blossom.

That's right: Mayim Bialik is tonight's guest! In the episode, she claims she dresses the way she does because she's a busy mom with kids, which is a totally fair (and true) excuse. However, once Stacy and Clinton dig into her wardrobe, they discover she's still wearing clothes from her days playing the teenage style icon (or style tragedy, depending on your point of view, but my point of view is that I owned a Blossom-style hat with a big ol' flower on it).

I was a little skeptical when I previewed this episode. I didn't want Stacy and Clinton to turn Bialik into a cookie-cutter Hollywood type. Happily, they totally show her how to update her trademark look so that it fits her current lifestyle. She ends up looking cute and age-appropriate, and it's loads of nostalgic fun.

On Our Radar: Stacy London Is Fashionably Late

Ever since MTV's House of Style expired, I've felt a void in the fashion-television market. Of course, there's Project Runway, but that only fulfills my fashion-reality TV cravings. I recently watched Stacy London's new show on TLC, Fashionably Late, and let me tell you, it made me feel like I was at a fabulous and fashionable slumber party, cocktails and all.

I was apprehensive at first because What Not to Wear is at the bottom of my TiVo list, but Stacy stepped it up this time. She sassily dishes about celebrity styles, innovative fashion items, runway trends, tips, and has a different celeb guest each time. There's even a hot bartender on hand who supplies yummy drinks. Should you happen to be home on a Friday night, be sure to watch it. Come to think of it, make an effort to stay in on a Friday night . . . you won't regret it.

TV Tonight: "Shut Up! It's Stacy London"

As a dedicated fan of "What Not to Wear," I was thrilled to hear that Stacy London, the show's fashion diva, is getting her own talk show. But the even better news is that we don't have to wait till the fall to check it out. TLC is showing a "sneak peek" of the premiere episode of the show tonight at 10 p.m. Eastern and Pacific, right after a special behind-the-scenes episode of "What Not to Wear." Among the guests dropping by tonight: Jane Krakowski of "30 Rock," Lisa Rinna, and shoe designer Kristin Lee.

I'm excited to see how London's bubbly-yet-snarky personality translates to a talk show format, and I can never get enough Jane Krakowski, so I'll be tuning in for sure. Now, we just need to get the incredibly lovable Clinton Kelly a show, too - maybe a cameo on "Project Runway"? And hey, whatever happened to original "What Not to Wear" co-host Wayne Scot Lukas, anyway?
