Adrien Brody recently said in an interview that he was up for the role of Spock in J.J. Abrams' Star Trek movie, but ultimately he was passed up for Zachary Quinto (who plays Sylar on "Heroes").
Brody says he's disappointed to not be playing the role made classic by Leonard Nimoy.

Apparently...
Zachary Quinto, the "Heroes" villain Sylar who everyone loves to hate (or is it hates to love?), has made it clear that he would love to play Spock in JJ Abrams' Star Trek movie whenever, you know, Abrams gets around to casting that little project. A while back a few film blogs took Quinto's comment and ran with it, saying he's "definitely in negotiations!"

There's a silver lining to TV shows going into reruns, and it's more time to watch movies! Happily, today there are a few highly-anticipated flicks, and I've gone through them to tell you What to Netflix. In addition to the three movies mentioned below, you can also catch Robert Pattinson's pre-Twilight dramedy How to Be.

It seems I wasn't the only one to think that Zachary Quinto's Spock stole the hot man show in Star Trek last Summer. Quinto is attached to the upcoming indie film Whirligig, playing a guy who becomes friends with the adopted son of the woman he's pursuing.
Not only would this be Quinto's first major role post-Star Trek, but he'd be the leading man in a romantic comedy-drama.
