Do You Agree With the Winner of So You Think You Can Dance?

So You Think You Can Dance season eight has a winner! Melanie is taking home the honors after last night's final round of performances against the others in the top four. Like Nigel predicted, a girl won, and her fellow female Sasha came in second, followed by Marko and Tadd in third and fourth place.

Melanie has proved versatile and impressed lots of folks all season long - I called Melanie as one of my early favorites, and the judges have been favoring her as well. This win is no surprise to me, but were you rooting for someone else, or are you happy that Melanie is the season eight winner?

For the first challenge of So You Think You Can Dance's top 10, the dancers were split up from their usual partners. They each performed with an all-star dancer from previous seasons, and got to show off with mini solos in their genre. The competition is tough, especially since each dancer really pulled through strong, and it'll be an interesting elimination this week, because the judges had some high compliments for everyone. So You Think You Can Dance's top 14 stepped out onto the stage this week with a variety of routines while we were visited by a pair of guest judges in the form of Travis Wall (my favorite!) and Carmen Electra. It was a pretty great week for the remaining dancers - it feels like we're really hitting the stride of the competition, so let's break down each performance now.

Were the Right People Voted Off of So You Think You Can Dance?

The top 16 showed off on this week's So You Think You Can Dance, but alas, the show must keep cutting contestants, and two more dancers were sent home. Couples Ashley and Chris, Miranda and Robert, and Catelynn and Mitchell were in the bottom, but ultimately, none of the couples were separated because Miranda and Robert were both voted off.

It wasn't the first time Miranda and Robert were in the bottom, but I was a little surprised that they were kicked off because their routine this week was pretty strong. Do you agree that they were sent home, or did you think someone else should have been axed?

Season eight of So You Think You Can Dance is on! The top 20 took the stage to compete for the first time, with the 10 girls and 10 boys paired off with each other. After the couples drew styles and choreographers, we finally got to really see what the contestants can do. I'm so excited to have the show back, and I'm ready to break down all the first-round performances.
