If you could recast "Fresh Prince of Bel Air" with new actors, who would you pick?
Can you believe the baby on the cover of Nirvana's album Nevermind turned 16 years old this week? Neither can I.
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is a pretty darn good movie, though I have some issues with it, too. Regardless of what I think those little wizards made box office magic this week.
I have a lot of questions for the next season of "Lost," but I whittled them down to 5 of my most major ones.

You know Stevie Nicks wrote a damn fine song if both The Dixie Chicks and Billy Corgan can sound great singing it. Not surprisingly, I'm loving this cover of "Landslide" recorded by The Smashing Pumpkins for the 1994 album Pisces Iscariot.

This bittersweet acoustic version is a great showcase for Corgan's fragile vocals and a welcome foil to the more metallic sound on the Pumpkins' new album, Zeitgeist, which hits stores today. On past releases, I really enjoyed the way Corgan (performing at Live Earth, at left) balanced harder rock tunes with ballads, and I wish Zeitgeist had a bit more of the latter. New Smashing Pumpkins Video and Early Album Listen

The Smashing Pumpkins comeback album, Zeitgeist, hits stores on July 10, but it doesn't seem as hotly anticipated as Billy Corgan would like it to be. So it may not help that AOL's Spinner blog has posted the full album stream a week early; and why not, since Zeitgeist tracks have been leaking on the 'Net for weeks?

I've only given the album a very quick spin today, and it is oddly comforting to hear Corgan belting it out again. But with its straight-ahead drumming, sprinkles of synths, and lots and lots of searing guitar riffs, Zeitgeist is giving me some bad '90s flashbacks. Occasionally, however, those elements come together quite capably, such as on the first single, "Tarantula," which well balances the metal with the melodrama.
