JJ Abrams' Cloverfield Gets a Trailer

After much fan-geek speculation and swirling rumors across the Internet, we finally have an official glimpse of what the JJ Abrams' "monster movie" will entail. Titled Cloverfield for sure, the movie now has an official website and a trailer that has been showing before some screenings of Beowulf. After the jump you can see a real video of the trailer instead of just the shaky bootleg versions taken by people at movie theaters.

Then again, that shaky "real life" sense would be in keeping with the actual movie, so there's something kind of neat and trippy about watching an audience member's filmed version of what looks like other peoples' home videos. But I digress. The movie is like The Blair Witch Project in its shakycam realistic style, making it seem like we're watching found footage of a crazy monster attack on New York. There's not much more to say about it than that. It's pretty creepy, especially seeing things like the head of the Statue of Liberty crash and roll on the street. Yipes! Glee-ful Highlights From Episode "Michael"

When I heard that Glee was performing a Michael Jackson tribute, I basically starting moonwalking across the floor, but the episode didn't quite live up to my expectations. I definitely appreciated the effort, and there were absolutely some standout performances, but I would have loved more Jackson 5 or old-school Michael disco tunes.

With so many songs crammed in, there's very little in the way of plot here. Basically, the entire episode is about the rivalry between the New Directions and the Warblers, and Sebastian emerges as the show's new villain when he hits Blaine with a jacked-up slushie. San Francisco has seen some of its warmest days this year in the past week. And in what I'd like to call exceptional timing, a rather generous shipment of gelato arrived at my doorstep. It was as though some frozen dessert fairy godmother heeded my call for a bracing heat-quencher.

I could've simply dug in with a spoon, but my happy hour spirit got the best of me. I took Ciao Bella's advice and made a slushy margarita with the blood-red sorbet. Glee-Ful Highlights From Episode "Original Song"

Glee tries a new spin on the usual formula this week with original songs. When the New Directions members attempt to come up with their own material for Regionals, the results are, in most cases, just plain silly (no offense, Puck). Even so, they're still fun for us to watch!

The various members of the club put pen to paper to express their feelings through song, but with one tune after another, there's very little time for storyline in the actual episode. Quinn is still trying to win back her popularity, Rachel gets misty over Finn, and Santana is ticked at Brittany following last week's big moment between the girls.
