Cameron Focuses on Shrek After Her Knight With Tom and Oprah

Cameron Diaz went with a short red number yesterday for the LA premiere of Shrek Forever After - reminds us of the amazing pink mini she wore for Shrek 3 three years ago! She was the lone female star of the movie to pose on the green carpet with Antonio Banderas, Mike Meyers, and Eddie Murphy. Cameron is home in California after a busy few weeks of travel that included time in NYC with Alex Rodriguez and Chicago, where she recorded an episode of Oprah with Tom Cruise. They were there to discuss their film Knight and Day and she also shared her passion for cooking oatmeal for breakfast. With Cameron on the West Coast, Alex Rodriguez had to find another date for a party on Saturday - his 5-year-old daughter Natasha was on his arm to celebrate his new Gotham magazine cover.

Bizarre Buzz: Shrek and Co. Get Sexy For VMan Magazine

There are a multitude of fun ways to promote the upcoming Shrek Forever After, but I didn't expect this one: in the upcoming issue of VMan, photographer Ellen von Unwerth has "shot" the animated cast amid a bevy of edgy, sexy models. Shrek, Fiona, Donkey, and Puss in Boots even pose like they're the latest, hottest starlets and studs, which is kind of funny . . . but also just kind of weird.

Is the VMan audience the same as the fourth Shrek's? Are we supposed to be find them (ugh) provocative? It seems like a strange way to work Shrek into a men's magazine, but check out the images and let me know what your reaction is. If you're feeling saucy, caption them!

Movie Preview: Shrek Forever After

Hope you're not tired of the sudden influx of movie trailers lately (in the past few days we've taken a peek at Iron Man 2, The Runaways, and Alice in Wonderland), because now here's one for the fourth Shrek film. In Shrek Forever After, Shrek grows tired of his quiet life with Fiona (and ogre babies!) and inadvertently signs a contract that turns his world upside down. In the alternate Far Far Away universe, Shrek's friends don't recognize him, Puss in Boots has fattened up and Fiona appears to be some kind of criminal.

Of course it's got the voices we've come to know and love along with the typical wisecracks, but I have to admit that I'm kind of relieved to hear that this will be the last chapter in the franchise. Don't get me wrong - I love that big green ogre, but I think it may be time to let the films be remembered as classics and move on to something new.

Blunt's already up for a Best Actress Golden Globe for her depiction of Queen Victoria, but she's not the first Hollywood star to don a crown. Awww - Puss in Boots Spinoff in the Works!

I know many people love Donkey in the Shrek movies, but my heart belongs to Puss in Boots, "the feline assassin/swordsman" voiced hilariously by Antonio Banderas. So this news delights me: There's a Puss in Boots movie spinoff in the works, and it just got TV writer Tom Wheeler to do the script.

No plot details yet, but I don't care. I could watch Puss - and the gingerbread man! - for hours. I certainly prefer this movie to yet another Shrek installment (the fourth is set to hit theaters in May of 2010). What do you think about a Puss in Boots movie? Totally adorable? Or unoriginal? TV Tonight: Shrek the Halls

It's not even a week since Thanksgiving, but Christmas special season is well underway on ABC. The network aired the classic Charlie Brown Christmas on Tuesday, and tonight brings our first look at the newest animated holiday special, Shrek the Halls.

The whole original Shrek gang - including Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy and Cameron Diaz - is around for this half-hour special, which finds Shrek struggling to get into the holiday spirit. Who would have known Shrek wasn't much for decked halls and mistletoe? Of course, Donkey, Puss in Boots and the rest of the clan will rally the silly ogre into yuletide shape before the end of the half-hour. Maybe this will turn out to be a holiday classic - but even if it's not, we can recover by watching How the Grinch Stole Christmas immediately after. (Pushing Daisies follows at 9 p.m., while Private Practice takes the night off.)

Last week, I challenged you to tell me some of the best airplane movies that have kept you entertained on long trips. Sounds like a few of you have had some good in-flight watching recently! Here were a few of my favorite picks:

Titanic
Bookmarked by tdamji, who wrote: "Not only is this 3 hour+ movie great for in-flight-movie-watching due to the great musical score and romantic qualities which can easily transport anyone to another time and place, but it brings back memories for me because I remember watching it during the 8 hour flight to England, my first overseas trip, which was my high school graduation present in 1998."

Uptown Girls

Cameron Smiles & Nods On Japanese TV

Poor Cameron. She recently made an appearance on Japanese TV to promote Shrek The Third and was subjected to swamp inspired sushi, an escort with drawn-on facial hair, and some woman's mention of her sex(less) life. Luckily, Cameron's a trooper and has that winning smile to fall back on when things get a little too uncomfortable. (Thanks, Best Week Ever!)
