Drew Barrymore Photographs Her Muse, Up-and-Comer Shailene Woodley

Drew Barrymore photographed Shailene Woodley for Vs. magazine's latest issue. It was Drew's first cover shoot, and she personally handpicked the young Descendants star, Shailene, for the project. For her part, Shailene graces the first in a trio of issues that Drew shot for the publication. It's not the first time the pair have teamed up on a project, since Drew also directed Shailene in a music video for Best Coast. Drew's had plenty of experience doing her own modeling, including her successful CoverGirl campaign and most recently covering InStyle, but she told Ellen DeGeneres that she physically made herself sick stressing over her first professional gig as a photographer. Shailene, on the other hand, felt comfortable enough to pose topless for a few of Drew's photos.

Michelle, George, and Jennifer Light Up the Directors Guild Awards

It was all about the behind-the-scenes masterminds of film and television at last night's Directors Guild of America Awards in LA. The evening's top honors went to The Artist - check out all the DGA winners here - which further sets it apart as a front runner in the Oscar race. George Clooney stepped out to support The Descendants' Alexander Payne, though the leading man was without his red-carpet counterpart, Stacy Keibler. The two should be back together again this afternoon for the SAG Awards, however. Michelle Williams presented the documentary DGA Award to Project Nim, and she'll be back out in just a few hours for SAG. Michelle and George are both nominees going into that one and had more big news to celebrate this week when they each earned Oscar nods.

Jennifer Aniston was a nominee for her work on the Lifetime movie Five, and she did have her arm candy in the form of boyfriend Justin Theroux. Jennifer and Justin apparently snuggled close during dinner and slipped out to a private afterparty to finish their date night.

George appeared to arrive without his girlfriend and award season companion, Stacy Keibler, on his arm. Stacy tweeted just a few hours ago about being at a bridal shower, so perhaps she's sitting this one out ahead of tomorrow's SAG Awards. Shailene was decked out in a sheer red Valentino gown for the evening. Their film's director, Alexander Payne, is a nominee this evening, while Sunday's Screen Actors Guild event is all about the onscreen stars. It was a huge week for everyone involved in The Descendants, since it picked up five Oscar nominations!

Hollywood's finest continued the award season fun at the annual BAFTA Tea Party at the Four Seasons in LA this afternoon. Michelle Williams, who wore a dress by Victoria Beckham, stopped for photos as she arrived, as did Evan Rachel Wood, Chloe Moretz, and Shailene Woodley. Leonardo DiCaprio chatted with Meryl Streep inside the event while Charlize Theron, in Stella McCartney, posed alongside Octavia Spencer. The excitement will continue at tomorrow's Golden Globes, where many of today's attendees are nominated. We can't wait to see the stars hit the red carpet and take the stage, including presenters Jessica Alba, Emily Blunt, Nicole Kidman, and Channing Tatum.
