Sean Penn Honors Shailene Woodley With the Trophee Chopard at Cannes

Sean Penn presented the Trophee Chopard awards to rising stars Shailene Woodley and Ezra Miller at the Hotel Martinez in Cannes, France, today. The two were being recognized for their acting work, her most recently for The Descendants and him for his role in We Need to Talk About Kevin, which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival last year. Sean is also in town for his charitable endeavors. He is hosting a press conference about his time in Haiti this afternoon and will be throwing a big philanthropic gala event this evening. Shailene has been taking advantage of her time in Cannes as well, popping up at the star-studded Calvin Klein bash alongside Diane Kruger, Jada Pinkett Smith, Naomi Watts, and more. Ezra got to show some support for his Kevin costar Tilda Swinton as well - we spotted him at the Moonrise Kingdom afterparty on Wednesday.

Shailene Woodley has taken the red carpet by storm, and now, the 20-year-old is starring in ASOS's June magazine issue giving us fresh, fun, and youthful Summer styling inspiration. Shailene, decked out in an ASOS denim shirt, Rare lace shorts, ASOS cat-eye sunglasses, and roller skates for the cover shoot, talked about effortless style, stating, "Most of my clothes come through friends - this cardigan is two years old and these jeans are my friend's boyfriend's." We love her girl-next-door attitude, easily translated in her photo shoot showing her in limber positions and hanging from trees all while wearing a stylish array of silky pajamas, denim vests, embroidered maxi dresses, and striped tees. And if you're wondering what Shailene has in store for the future, listen up: "I'm excited to become a badass archer," said Shailene. The cast of The Hunger Games and a few hundred of the series' most faithful fans gathered at the Nokia Theatre in LA last night for the big world premiere. Jennifer Lawrence was the main event, decked out in a gold Prabal Gurung gown that showed off her back with sexy cutouts. We chatted with fans who called Jennifer their "ultimate girl crush" and the woman who has become Katniss Everdeen for the big screen certainly made an entrance. Liam Hemsworth, looking dapper in Dolce & Gabbana, brought girlfriend Miley Cyrus, who was in a two-piece Pucci number and a 10-carat Azature black diamond ring to match. While Liam has seen The Hunger Games, he revealed that it would be Miley's first viewing.

Josh Hutcherson, in Z Zegna, was exuberant as always on the red carpet and there were plenty of devoted Team Peeta followers swooning and screaming to keep that smile on his face. Elizabeth Banks let Effie Trinket be her inspiration in a brightly colored Versace number. The Ladies Bring Their Best Looks to the Glamorous Oscars Red Carpet

Hollywood's biggest night didn't disappoint as stars hit the Academy Awards red carpet in style. Bright neutrals were a big trend with multiple ladies choosing white looks for their turn in front of the cameras. Presenter Gwyneth Paltrow got daring in a caped Tom Ford outfit while The Descendants' Shailene Woodley wore a long-sleeved Valentino Couture gown. Cameron Diaz, who presented alongside a Zuhair Murad-clad Jennifer Lopez, went with a strapless Gucci number and nominee Rooney Mara picked Givenchy.

Some famous faces, like Natalie Portman and Emma Stone, chose to match the carpet in crimson hued looks. Natalie had a playful vintage polka-dot dress from Christian Dior as she arrived on the arm of fiancé Benjamin Millepied and Emma Stone, who presented alongside Ben Stiller, tied up her Giambattista Valli ensemble with bright lips. Best actress nominee Michelle Williams accented her orange Christian Dior dress with a pink clutch while Viola Davis brought another pop of color in green Vera Wang and presenter Penelope Cruz showed shoulder in Armani Privé. Adding to the rainbow of shades was also Melissa McCarthy in a custom blush Marina Rinaldi and Maya Rudolph in an embellished purple Johanna Johnson.

Black was big at tonight's Oscars with Angelina Jolie leading the way in a sexy slitted velvet Atelier Versace gown as she arrived with Brad Pitt and his parents Bill and Jane. Bridesmaids' Rose Byrne sparkled in Vivienne Westwood sequins while presenter Tina Fey chose Carolina Herrera. Jessica Chastain and Sandra Bullock mixed up the basic black with Jessica in a gold embroidered McQueen gown that she accented with $2 million of Harry Winston jewels and Sandra in a two-tone Marchesa.

Shailene Woodley may have been snubbed by the Oscars, but she was a big winner at the Spirit Awards for best supporting actress. After accepting her award, Woodley headed to the press room where talked about how she grew up on the set of The Descendants, thanks in large part to costar George Clooney, whom she called a "dynamite human being."

On how the film changed her: I'm so grateful. I don't know if surprised is the right word, it's been such a beautiful experience in my life. It transformed me as a human being. Every person in the film had such gentle, kind souls. And being on the set as an 18-year-old, it was a catalyst for coming into my own.

On working with George Clooney: George Clooney, he was the head of all the happiness. Him and Alexander Payne. They both just embody such graciousness toward human beings. George is so incredibly philanthropic, and he taught me so much about helping others. He's such a dynamite human being. He's superhuman.

On how the cast of The Secret Life of the American Teenager has responded to her success: Everyone at Secret Life is super stoked for me, just as I'm stoked for them. We've all been given the opportunity to go out and do other things apart from the show.

On how her life has changed: My life has changed only in one way, and that is that I need to do laundry. I haven't had time to do laundry in a few months but after tomorrow there will be lots of time to do that!

On what she'd like to do next: I would love to do something dark, and small. I love independent films. I love emotional scenes. I love people who are struggling with something. I think it's the perfect juxtaposition to my happy, positive, demeanor.
