It's officially official: The Sex and the City sequel is so happening and might be in theaters by 2010. When the first movie came out, it broke records and reminded the folks who rule Hollywood that hey, look at that, you can have a cast full of women over 30 years old and it will still be successful.
And while that's cause for celebration, it would be cool to improve upon that first movie, since as long as we're all shelling out the box office cash to see these beloved characters, we should get a quality film.

The Sex and the City Movie was a huge deal to fans of the HBO show and many other female moviegoers who appreciated a female-driven movie they could go out to see with girlfriends.

There was plenty of sequel chatter immediately following the major box office success of the Sex and the City movie, but now certain head honchos are confirming that there is "a lot of energy behind doing another SATC movie." There's been lots of scuttlebutt lately that Friends could finally go the way of Sex and the City and make its way to the big screen. Ever since the rumor resurfaced, reps for both the studio and the actors have been busily denying it, but it's still an interesting thing to think about: Can you really imagine seeing the Central Perk crew back together again? I don't think I can picture it — but then, I don't know if I could have imagined a big-screen SATC, either, and it's made more than $350 million in theaters worldwide.

It looks like fans can't get enough of Marvel superheroes on the big screen as the company scored another hit this summer with The Incredible Hulk. And no, multiple viewings of The Rocky Horror Picture Show doesn't really count. I'm talking about the movies that so captivated your imagination you just had to go back for more. Or the movies that were such a fun event, you piggiebacked along with different friends and family members to keep the party going all weekend.
