Talk about a shocker! The low-budget underdog Paranormal Activity has been riding its growing popularity all the way to the top — even upsetting the reigning king of horror, the Saw franchise. Paranormal took in $22 million in its first weekend with a wide release, which has execs talking about a possible sequel.

For all of you who get a thrill from scary movies and haunted houses, you can start planning now to check out a Saw-themed haunted house this Halloween season. Apparently, the FrightDome in Las Vegas's Circus Circus will open two "Saw Attractions" areas that will attempt to replicate Jigsaw's terrifying games from the Saw movies. About the attractions, Fright Dome owner Jason Egan said, "The Saw films cut to the core of human fear and we're using that to its fullest potential."

For any Saw (or Saw 2 through 4) fans out there, this Thursday some AMC theaters are showing a Saw marathon just before the fifth movie is released this Friday. Will you check this out at a theater near you?
I know many people who like the Saw movies (or at least the first one) even if they're not huge fans of the horror genre itself.

Freshman comedy Modern Family has filled a void in my life — I find myself laughing out loud each week, and I'm not the only one digging it. A huge part of the show's greatness can be attributed to its amazing cast; one of my favorites is Cameron — one half of a same-sex couple adjusting to life with a new baby. Eric Stonestreet, who plays Cam, sat down with me to talk about the show's crazy success and the real-life experience he used to portray a clown in next week's episode, "Fizbo."

Last night on So You Think You Can Dance we saw the top 14 dancers perform and tonight we'll see whose performance wasn't beloved enough by the audience to let them stay in the competition. For now, tell me who you think did well enough to remain on the show, and who deserves to be in the bottom three.

Another Halloween has come and gone, and as usual I saw plenty of costumes from the pop culture world. As expected, there were some Jon and Kates (like Heidi and Spencer's rendition), a few Edwards and Bellas, and some Michael Jacksons in the mix.
Then there were a few more obscure references that pleasantly surprised me — one of my co-workers rocked it as Joanna from Office Space, and two of my friends were adorable in homemade outfits inspired by the movie Eagle vs.

Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner have been posing for photo ops all over town — check out Pop's favorite promo tour moments — and it wouldn't be complete without an interview with Entertainment Weekly. In the cute interview, the costars quip about everything from Rob's attachment to his signature hair to Kristen's confession that she'd like to quit smoking to Taylor's obsession with hitting the gym for New Moon. There're also tidbits about Rob and Kristen's off-screen relationship and how Robert handles fandom.

This week's 90210 and Melrose Place combo don't have a ton of shocking moments, but it's obvious both shows are gearing up for major stuff to go down. (Like a drug bust, murder arrest, and Heather Locklear, for instance?!) We do, however, get some nice moments between the characters. Teddy, for one, is acting like an angel — although I can't tell if it's sincere, because I've made it a rule not to trust a guy who ties sweaters over his shoulders.
