It wouldn't be Halloween without tons of people dressed up like their favorite pop culture icons; in the past few years I've seen countess Amy Winehouses, Sarah Palins, and Madonnas. The ideas lose a lot of their originality when they're all over the place, and I'm sure there will plenty of costume repeats this weekend.
Right off the bat I'm expecting to see more than one Kate Gosselin and Lady Gaga, not to mention Michael Jacksons of all ages.

Buzz-Worthy Video of the Day: Letterman Apologizes on the Air
Last week, David Letterman made waves (to say the least) when he revealed on the air that he had been blackmailed for $2 million regarding information about sexual affairs with female members of his staff. Whether the announcement surprised you or not, it seems that we all feel sympathetic for Letterman's wife and family. Last night Letterman used his audience as a sounding board once again, apologizing first to members of his staff who have been harassed since the affairs went public, and then to his wife Regina, saying that he has his "work cut out for him."
SNL News: Jenny Slate Swears Herself In, Darrell Hammond May Be Out
New cast member Jenny Slate went from virtual unknown to Internet phenomenon on her first-ever episode of Saturday Night Live over the weekend. She dropped a now infamous "F-Bomb" during a biker-chick sketch that had her saying "freaking" about 50 times — you can barely blame her, it's a pretty easy slip, especially for someone new to live TV. Blogs immediately jumped to Slate's defense, but apparently the alarm was unnecessary.
Neil Patrick Harris's Emmy Awards Opening — Love It or Leave It?
The Emmys are officially under way, but let's rewind for a second to Neil Patrick Harris's little song and dance number. He showed off those pipes, making sure to mention how dreamy Jon Hamm is and giving Tina Fey props for her Sarah Palin impression. Then he told a few jokes, making the mandatory jab at Kanye.
