Ashlee Simpson jumped on the braid bandwagon and headed to Las Vegas this weekend to watch her man Pete spin at the Grand Opening of Palms Place Hotel & Spa on Saturday night. It was a family affair with Papa Joe and Jess in the house, and while Tony skipped the event, he was right by Jessica's side in San Diego yesterday. Lauren and Lo left The Hills long enough to attend the event, while Sarah Larson had to walk the red carpet all by her lonesome, poor baby. Pete kept the crowd entertained with dedications to his "baby mama" and father-in-law, but we're going to have to wait to hear more of Ashlee's musical stylings - she unsurprisingly postponed her Summer tour to get ready for her new baby.

George Clooney slipped on one of his favorite all black ensembles to celebrate his birthday in NYC last night. He turned the big 4-7, but luckily he had Sarah Larson by his side to help keep him feeling young. George got the party started earlier this week with a serenade from John Mayer and Fergie after the Costume Gala on Monday night, so a romantic dinner with his lady was probably the perfect birthday gift.

Sarah Larson was the lucky plus one as George's date at tonight's Costume Gala. Giorgio Armani, Julia Roberts and George were a few of the first celebs to arrive to the event and considering they are hosting Anna Wintour's "Oscars on the East Coast" as we like to call it, we're glad they were on time and looking their finest. Sarah looks way better than she did at the Oscars and now that she is one of People magazine's most beautiful people (as well as George's girlfriend), we have a feeling we're going to keep seeing a whole lot more of her. Julia looks the most classic so far this evening which isn't all that super hero-ish but still beautiful. Do you agree?

George Is Ready to Show Off His Superhero Style

George Clooney and Sarah Larson arrived in NYC last night in their matching leather jackets. Clooney traded his PYT for Renée Zellweger on his worldwide Leatherheads promo tour, but tonight Sarah might be lucky enough to go back to fulfilling her duties as arm candy at the Met's Costume Institute Gala. It's one of the most star-studded events of the year, and George is cohosting it with Julia Roberts and Armani. We can't wait to see our favorite A-listers dressed to the nines, and while the night is usually all about the designers and ladies, we hope George gets in on the superhero fun since tomorrow is his birthday! Time to slip back into that bat suit, perhaps?

George, John and Renee Reunite For LA Leatherheads Debut

After a long trek (of sorts) across the country, Leatherheads finally made its way west last night for its big LA premiere. George Clooney still had Sarah Larson on his arm - apparently he's not one to let a few scandalous photos get in the way. He was also happy to joke about the supposed Jolie-Pitt wedding. Meanwhile, a very handsome looking John Krasinski finally got to pose with his big screen partners and it looks like Renee is especially smitten. The youthful star got some awesome support on the red carpet from his costars on The Office. While we wait with fingers crossed to see how this one turned out - how adorable are they all together?

Sarah Larson Works the Runway Hard For the Money

George Clooney's girlfriend Sarah Larson hit the runway of LA Fashion Week last night, looking a far cry from the glamorous Oscars. She walked the catwalk as part of the Ashley Paige swimwear show in some one-piece suits and severe makeup. I'm not sure they're her, um, best looks, but that's hardly her fault. Sarah's been an "actress/model" for a while now, recently posing for the cover of Via Bellagio, a Vegas magazine, and some Catherine Malandrino shows. I'm not going to say her A-List boyfriend landed her last night's gig, but it certainly made it news. Unfortunately, George didn't come out to watch his lady strut her stuff - though maybe he just didn't want to steal her spotlight?

Winners (and Non) Raise a Glass at the Governors Ball

Whether they won or lost last night, the nominees got together after the Awards for the Governors ball. George and Sarah stuck to water while he made the rounds introducing her to everyone. He was also happy to point out to everyone how good she looked (though you might not agree) and offered to carry her when she commented about her dress being too heavy. Sigh. Casey didn't walk away with a statue but still came to the party, while other also-rans Viggo and Cate had a moment over her pregnant belly. By the end of the party, I'm sure all the a-listers were ready to get out of the formal wear. George Clooney didn't let his girlfriend Sarah Larson out of his sight (or let go of her hand) for her first Oscars red carpet. She's also got her very first love it or hate it polls on Fab and Bella - big night! The couple were some of the first to arrive, though Sarah stayed mostly quiet while George did the interview rounds. While we don't know yet if Clooney will walk away with another Academy Award, it's clear the big winner here is one Miss Sarah Larson who seems to have stolen the heart of one of Hollywood's most desirable bachelors.

National Board of Review Awards Bring Out the Big Shots

Well, we jinxed it. Sorry folks. Just when we thought Sarah Larson was no longer in the picture, Clooney shows up with her on the red carpet at the 2007 National Board of Review Annual Awards Gala last night in NYC. George was there to take home Best Actor honors for Michael Clayton. The Garner-Afflecks were there for Ben's big Best Directorial Debut award but the couple walked the red carpet separately as always. So much for settling in on the west coast. Brand new dad, Casey Affleck, came to take home his Best Supporting Actor award while adorable Ellen Page picked up Breakthrough Performance by an Actress. The big honor of the evening went to Michael Douglas who claimed the Career Achievement Award. Hate to say he looks to be about the ripe age to get it but at least he's got Catherine to keep him young.

George and Sarah's Mayoral Good Time

George Clooney and Sarah Larson continued their romantic and honorable week in Italy with a stop to hang out with the Mayor of Rome, Walter Veltroni, at the capital building. You know, no big deal, just some face time with the mayor on his balcony. Probably just where Sarah Larson expected she'd be when she made her year's predictions last December. We haven't seen much of George celebrating yet, but hopefully, these two have some big things planned for the weekend and toast to another Golden Globe nod for him.

George Clooney was all business at the Nobel Peace Prize Summit last night, but he and Sarah lightened up at the new Belstaff store opening afterwards. Something tells us Sarah and her Loubs were more interested in the fashion than Clooney was, but at least he looks like he was enjoying himself and continuing the fun with Don. We'll begrudgingly admit that it's nice to see George so happy, but if from Rome they go to spend Christmas at Lake Como, well, talk about jealousy.

George and Don Honored at Nobel Peace Prize Summit

This evening, George Clooney and Don Cheadle received the 2007 Peace Summit Award at the Summit of the Nobel Peace Prize Laureates in Rome. It's a big day for George, as he was also nominated for a Best Actor Golden Globe for Michael Clayton, but before getting excited about that there were more somber things on hand. The duo was honored for the work they've done raising awareness and money to aid the situation in Darfur through their organization, Not on Our Watch. At the ceremony, the actors were both given bronze statue by Italian sculptor Oliviero Rainaldi. The usually jokey Clooney was anything but lighthearted during his acceptance speech. He said:

"Don and I . . . stand here before you as failures. . . . The simple truth is that when it comes to the atrocities in Darfur those people are not better off now than they were years ago. The murders continue, the rapes continue and some two and a half million refugees are yet to go home. . . . We have an American election coming so this is the time to put pressure on American candidates, because believe me none of these people want to talk about this issue. . . . None of them want to deal with this issue, so right now is the time to place pressure on the people who can actually affect change because we can't."

He spoke to an audience including some of the biggest political figures of our time (and, of course, Miss Sarah Larson), people I'm sure the actors are honored to just stand next to. Clooney recently said that he is headed back to the Darfur region in January. Congratulations to Don and George for receiving this award, and, of course, bravo to them for all the hard work they've been doing.

George Brings Sarah to Rome, Plans Trip Back to Darfur

Well, I guess that answers my question about whether Sarah Larson got the invite to the Nobel Laureate event where George and Don Cheadle are set to be honored tomorrow night. After a quick stop in Milan, the couple was in Rome last night having a romantic dinner. Clooney is in town to be lauded for his work with Darfur, and the actor announced that he has plans to return to the area in January. He spoke to USA Today about it:

Q: What's the plan?
A: I'm not a politician, so the reason I go is to (focus) attention there. So we're going to try to get deeper into Darfur; try to get some cameras in to the tougher camps and have conversations. That's basically all I can do. If you put famous people in front of very ugly sites, people will watch.

Q: Have you been following your pal Brad Pitt's crusade in New Orleans?
A: It's a life choice for him and a big part of his life. Matt (Damon) does that, too. Don (Cheadle). A lot of the guys who are good friends of mine spend a good portion of their life doing this. In some ways, it's easier for us because we have some financial security, so we can say, "OK, let's stop worrying about ourselves and look out for other people." What should you do with all this kind of attention? Should you get out of a car without wearing underwear … ?

Q: No, George. Please. Never.
A: You've never seen me. I look fantastic.

Q: How will you be spending the holidays?
A: I don't do a big Christmas thing. I think Christmas at some point is for having a bunch of kids, so I just get through the holidays. I have a lot of work to do.

Even if they don't have a big Christmas planned, the couple is certainly getting in the holiday season romance time in Italy (perhaps Como is next? Lucky girl). Obviously she would want to come on this "business trip," but I wonder if she'll choose to sit Darfur out or share in her man's passion for the area?

P.S. I think there are quite a few women out there who would welcome those Clooney-no-underwear shots.

Clooney Does His Best Dapper Dan

George Clooney made sure not one single hair was out of place as he walked the red carpet for the premiere of Michael Clayton at the Dubai International Film Festival. He brought along his girlfriend and although we have gotten used to Sarah on his arm we wanted to pull him as far away from Sharon Stone as possible. Run, George, Run! Luckily it didn't seem to last long. The National Board of Review just named George Best Actor for his role in Michael Clayton so he must be feeling confident about the premiere and upcoming Oscar buzz. Along with this great win, after Dubai George is headed to Rome to be honored with his co-star and good friend Don Cheadle by the Nobel Peace Laureates. Looks like 2007 is going to end on a high note for Clooney - not that he isn't used to the great life.

Clooney Keeps On Pampering Sarah

George Clooney and Sarah Larson stopped off for a romantic dinner at Il Cielo in LA last night. Mr. George was looking pretty spry and smooth-faced alongside his much younger girlfriend. I'm not sure which is hotter, Clooney or her Louboutin boots (which something tells me he had a hand in). Well, George wins, but it's close. I gotta say that back in August when he and Sarah got together I didn't really think that these two would last, but now they're proving everyone wrong. Leave it to a former Fear Factor winner to conquer his fear of settling down. I wonder if she's the kind of girl who you bring to the Nobel laureate summit?

George Donates $25,000 to Help Striking Hollywood

It's been over a month since we saw George Clooney out with his girl Sarah Larson, but these two are still going strong. The two went on another double date with Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber in LA on Saturday. Clooney's a jack of all trades in Hollywood these days and as a sometimes writer, he's getting behind his striking colleagues. He recently gave $25,000 to the Actors Fund, which provides emergency assistance to people in the industry, and says he plans to donate regularly encouraging fellow actors do the same. He told Variety:

"To people like myself, the strike is a forced vacation, but with the rhetoric high, and two other strikes looming, there is the fear that a prolonged strike can destroy people who make a living in this industry...My hope is that people who can afford it will take responsibility for this and help out. This felt like the right place, because the Actors Fund is the most inclusive. It helps writers, and everyone from craft services workers to agency assistants who have been laid off."

Leave it to Clooney to be the good guy. With the two sides of the strike going back to the negotiation table on November 26, hopefully they'll be able to come to a resolution soon. Until then, though, it's good to hear that George wants to help.

Clooney's Doctors Might Pay For Their Celeb Sighting

George took Sarah out for yet another romantic dinner in NYC last night (ugh). These two seem to have healed nicely from their motorcycle accident injuries, but some of the staff at the hospital that treated George and Sarah are suffering some repercussions. As many as 40 employees at Palisades Medical Center are being investigated and many have been suspended without pay for allegedly leaking Clooney's medical records to the media. Of course laid-back George didn't want a huge fuss being made over the situation, saying,

"This is the first I've heard of it. And while I very much believe in a patient's right to privacy, I would hope that this could be settled without suspending medical workers."

While the hospital staff clearly violated George's privacy, we have to admit that we would've been pretty excited too - after all, it's not every day that a big star like Clooney comes into the office.

The Sexiest Thing About George Is Lake Como

After stopping by to film Letterman in the afternoon, George picked up Sarah for a double date with Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber. Hello, good looking foursome. During dinner, the ever-present paparazzi caught George and Sarah being all lovey, kissing at the table. Cool Clooney actually looks smitten, but will it be enough to lose some bets? Hmmm. Other than the motorcycle accident (whoops) the couple seems to be enjoying their recent time in NYC, but I can't imagine it even compares to the summer spent at George's drool-worthy Lake Como estate. George talked to Dave about the estate on his show last night (video below), teasing the late night host about all the other TV personalities that have been to visit. He even jokingly extended an invitation to the entire audience. Um, sign me up.

George's girl Sarah Larson is off those crutches, but she's still on her man's arm with her stylish bootie to protect her broken toes. The two time Sexiest Man Alive lived up to his name yesterday, handily beating fellow twice SMA-er Brad in the steamy steamy battle royale. You know, not that most women would kick either of them out of bed or anything. Aaaaaaand, Sarah has the reality of George in bed every single night, lucky lady.

George Clooney traded one fancy gorgeous accessory for another over the weekend - by that I mean his hot hot Macbook Pro and his PYT Sarah Larson. It looks like he handled his girl more tenderly than his computer, however, which is definitely a good thing considering he's already landed her in the hospital once. Whoops. At least he seems to be making it up to her with nights on the town and she's smiling the whole time. A grin which will probably get even bigger when she's finally off those crutches, too.

Clooney Hopes New George Clooney Movie Is Good

Clooney and Sarah enjoyed a little romantic Italian dinner out in NYC last night. It's good to see that Sarah was giving her good foot a rest, out of stilettos and in comfy sneakers (with George carrying the spare right behind her). Awww, who said chivalry is dead? Sweet (hot) George recently talked to the LA Times about Michael Clayton, where he is in his career and what it's like actually having a responsibility for the movies he makes. Here's more:

On his Aunt Rosemary Clooney: "She said she was a better singer when she got older. And I said, 'Why are you a better singer now? You can't hold the notes like you used to. And you can't hit the notes like you used to.' And she said, 'I don't have to prove I can sing anymore.'...And there is that as an actor too. Where you say, 'I don't have to prove I can act anymore.' Or at least I don't feel the need to prove it. Which is incredibly liberating."
On being more accountable for his work now: "What you learn after a while is that if you're the person who can greenlight a film, you can no longer read a film as an actor for a part. Because you're going to be responsible for the movie being made. They don't anymore say, 'He was good or bad in the part, but the movie sucks.' They'll go, 'That George Clooney movie. . .' So now I become held responsible for the movies that get made. I always make jokes about 'Batman & Robin,' but this is true: If I'm going to get held responsible for the movies that get made, then I'm going to focus on better scripts."

So, even though he's feeling like he has to prove less to the world he still wants to create the best movies possible. Plus, he's got a new girl who puts a smile on his face - sounds like life is good for Clooney.

George Clooney and his (oh we can't believe we have to keep saying it), girlfriend Sarah Larson continued to prove a little motorcycle accident isn't going to keep these two from dressing up and enjoying a night out on the town. Of course, if you are a Vegas nightclub cocktail waitress who gets picked up by America's sexiest and most popular bachelor, you better be smiling at all times. George & Sarah Hobble Out For Michael Clayton

After his scary Friday afternoon motorcycle accident, George Clooney stepped out in NYC last night for the premiere of Michael Clayton, arm in crutch with his girl Sarah. Broken toes aside, she looked mighty happy to be alongside her man - can't say I blame her. Along with George's costars in the movie a slick looking Brad Pitt, an ugh, why Kate Walsh and sexed-up (surprise, surprise) Ellen Barkin all came out. The night was about the movie, but the red carpet was most definitely for asking George about his accident. In typical George fashion he laughed it off with quips and jokes. Here's more:

"I'm a little dinged up – lots of Neosporin," Clooney told PEOPLE at the New York event. "I'm definitely not jogging or doing jumping jacks."

He added that he and Larson are "just resting."

"You don't really want to rub or massage parts that are broken or anything," he said.

It's good to hear that both George and Sarah are doing better after the accident - it could have been so much worse. Something tells me Sarah will take him up on those massages once she's feeling a little better.
