When TNT's new series Rizzoli & Isles premiered this past week, I asked you if you had love for any other basic cable shows. Once a home for reruns and educational programming, these channels are now a haven for quality original series. Here are the five most talked about shows from you guys.

TV Tonight: Burn Notice and Royal Pains on USA

A lot of action is going down on USA tonight, where one of the shows on my Summer TV top 10 makes its season premiere - and a brand new series debuts right after.

The first is Burn Notice, the slick, Miami-set spy show that's become a big hit for USA over the past couple of years. This season finds super-spy Michael Westen (Jeffrey Donovan) breaking free of the people who burned him, trying to negotiate the world on his own terms again - and, undoubtedly, causing a little trouble along the way.

The second is Royal Pains, about Dr. Hank Lawson (Mark Feuerstein), a medical superstar who suddenly finds himself making house calls to the rich and famous in the Hamptons. It's the sort of premise that might have worked better when people still, y'know, had money - but hey, we're still watching Real Housewives, so why not give this a shot?

First Look: USA's Royal Pains

In Royal Pains, which premieres in early June on USA, Mark Feuerstein plays a reluctant doctor to the rich and famous. His character, Hank, is a young medical superstar living swanky in New York- until, that is, he makes a fateful mistake that leaves a hospital trustee dead. Feeling that all is lost, he goes for a long weekend in the Hamptons with his brother (Paulo Costanzo), and before he knows it, he's making house calls - well, make that mansion-calls - to the elite.

It's kind of odd to see a show about the fabulously rich premiere at a time when so many networks are readying shows about the recession, but this sounds like it could be some fun, lighter Summer entertainment. And I've always kind of rooted for Feuerstein (when he was on The West Wing, I was a big fan), so I'm glad to see him back on TV.

I'm not in love with the show yet based on this first trailer, but I'll check out some episodes and see what I think when Royal Pains premieres June 4. What about you? To watch the promo, just

Check Out the 2012 People's Choice Nominations Before the Show Airs Tonight!

The People's Choice Awards are tonight, so now's your chance to get a good look at who's up for the trophies. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 is dominating the movie categories, especially since there was no Twilight film eligible for this year's awards (though Taylor Lautner and Robert Pattinson still earned nods because they appeared in other movies). Vampires are still big at the PCAs, at least for the TV categories - The Vampire Diaries and its stars are all over this list. On the subject of the small screen, the awards have brought in another distinction for television: network shows and cable series are now separated (and fan favorite Game of Thrones pops up for its first season).

You'll be able to watch the results when the show airs tonight, and remember: we are LIVE from the red carpet and backstage throughout the show! The live show starts at 5 p.m. PST/ 8 p.m. EST, and you can watch us here.
