Paris, Je t'aime heads to New York.
New York, I Love You is a tale of the connections and personal missteps that occur every single day in the city that never sleeps. It plays out like a movie version of a song mash-up: some story lines are linear and independent of the rest while other characters wander in and out of each other's lives.

I had pre-screening tickets to this - and yes, some of the vignettes fall short, but overall it's good. It's worth seeing just for the ones that DO hit the mark, even if you have to sit through the ones that don't (like the Natalie Portman Indian/Jew story - it had potential but was really terribly executed).
1I totally agree with you starlotus713 — the Natalie Portman story was one of the ones I felt in particular was trying too hard to make a statement about race without really developing the love aspect.
2i've been looking forward to this movie for some time now and regardless of the review i'm going to check it out
i've heard good things about NP's piece- so hopefully it lives up!
3I think Paris, Je t'aime is similar in the way that some stories just don't seem to fit. Like the one with the hairdressers and the vampire one, but I think that's part of the charm. You can't love every single one of the love stories. You'll like some, and others will seem to fall short for you, while they won't fall short for other people watching it. For example a friend of mine loved the vampire one, while I have to fast forward it every single time because I hate it so much. Maybe this is what happens in New York, I love you, too. Either way, I am definitely going to see it.
4I don't care, I been looking forward to this movie for quit some time, I'm going to watch it next week.
5I agree with Anadi. These types of movies may have a little some thing for everyone or not at all. They have different directors and different visions and executions. I'll be watching this movie, if not just to see the stellar cast!
