Scarlett, Robert, and the Avengers Make a Superhero Stop in Russia

Robert Downey Jr. and Scarlett Johansson were front and center today as they joined their costars from The Avengers for a photocall in Moscow. Chris Hemsworth, Jeremy Renner, Mark Ruffalo, and Tom Hiddleston were also on hand to pose for pictures at the European press stop. The cast of the Marvel and Disney movie will spend the next few weeks on the road promoting their project, which hits theaters in the US on May 4. We were live at their big Hollywood premiere earlier this month, where we chatted up the stars of the film and learned a little more about what it was like behind the scenes on the set. During our interview with Scarlett Johansson, she joked that she had to "meditate" to deal with the discomfort and heat of her rubber costume. Meanwhile, new dad Robert Downey Jr. basked in the fan attention at the debut. He and his wife, Susan Downey, stepped out for the red carpet event after welcoming their son Exton in early February.

The Super Bowl wouldn't be complete without some blockbuster movie trailers, and this year's big game came complete with a fresh look at The Avengers. This spot is short and sweet, mostly focusing on seeing the team assemble and prepare for epic battling. Though the first Avengers trailer is more satisfying and in-depth, this little teaser is keeping us excited for the film's Summer release. Plus, we get a much better look at The Hulk (who actually looks pretty similar to the big green guy we saw in the Ed Norton movie.)

Scarlett Johansson and The Avengers Cast Join New Dad-to-Be Robert Downey Jr. on Set

Robert Downey Jr. held hands with his pregnant wife, producer Susan Downey, on the set of The Avengers today in NYC. It was just a few days ago that the pair announced they are expecting their first child together; Robert also has a 17-year-old son, Indio, with his former wife Deborah Falconer. Susan joined RDJ at work with his cast of superheroes, including Scarlett Johansson, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Tom Hiddleston, and Jeremy Renner, as they shot new scenes at Bethesda Fountain in Central Park this afternoon. The Marvel production has filmed in several states over the Summer, and the cast has clearly built a camaraderie - today, they visibly cracked each other up during lulls in the action. Fans got a sneak peek at The Avengers last month during Disney's D23 expo, where we talked with RDJ and Scarlett backstage, and the crowd's response was overwhelmingly positive. Robert told us he was excited about the reaction to the early clips of the film, which hits theaters next May.

Scarlett Johansson, Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Cobie Smulders, and Jeremy Renner were among the stars of The Avengers who took the stage at today's D23 Expo in Anaheim. The actors gave fans at the Disney convention a first look at their highly anticipated production, which brings together some of Marvel's most beloved characters. The project, which is still shooting in Ohio, is slated to hit theaters in May of 2012. In fact, Mark Ruffalo and Chris Evans weren't able to join the rest of the onscreen superheroes at the event because they are still tied up on the set of the film. The studio previewed some early clips from The Avengers, including a showdown between Tony Stark and Loki - played by Tom Hiddleston - and another that showed Mark in action as The Hulk. Scarlett, who is still rocking the same red hair as her character, Black Widow, wore a bright coral minidress and patent pumps to help intro the movie. It was one of several upcoming releases hyped at D23 today, but The Avengers definitely drew the strongest fan reaction, with Robert Downey Jr. eliciting a standing ovation from the arena the moment he stepped onto the stage. Robert, who missed the first showing of the preview clip, even asked that they play it a second time so he and the crowd could enjoy it together! Chris Evans Has His Captain America and The Avengers Costars by His Side at His Big Premiere

Chris Evans teamed up with his Captain America castmates last night for their premiere at LA's El Capitan theater. The superhero movie also features Sebastian Stan, Hayley Atwell, and Dominic Cooper. Some of Chris's high-wattage costars from his next project The Avengers also walked the red, white, and blue carpet to drum up buzz for their film. Robert Downey Jr. and Samuel L. Jackson attended the debut, as did Chris Hemsworth, with wife Elsa Pataky by his side. We spoke with Chris Evans, who looked dapper in a suit and tie, as he made his way into the movie. He told us he was most intimidated to meet and work with Robert on The Avengers, which brings together many of Marvel's most beloved comic book characters, including Captain America, Iron Man, and Thor. Chris also admitted he hated training for Captain America when we caught up with him last weekend, because he had to eat constantly to bulk up and work out with a "relentless" trainer, but clearly the effort paid off!

Guy Ritchie rolled up with his pregnant girlfriend Jacqui Ainsley, who could talk parenthood with a likewise expecting January Jones. The Mad Men star was just in NYC, where she showed off her upcoming blockbuster X-Men: First Class. A fresh-from-Paris Diane Kruger soaked up the sun with boyfriend Joshua Jackson while the holiday provided a chance for Courteney Cox and David Arquette to reunite with their daughter Coco. Celebrity babies were lucky to run on the sand between bouncy castles, and Minnie Driver's son Henry took advantage alongside Jennifer Meyer and Tobey Maguire's Ruby and Otis.

Bradley, Zac, and Ed Look Forward to a Good Hangover at Their LA Premiere

The many men of The Hangover Part II gathered at Grauman's Chinese Theatre last night for their big LA premiere. Bradley Cooper was dapper in a Tom Ford suit and flashed a big smile for photographers next to his costars Zach Galifianakis and Ed Helms - they even had Crystal the Monkey there! Ken Jeong was one of the first down the carpet, and he spoke to us about his excitement at reuniting with the guys. He even admitted to being open to expanding his Mr. Chow character in a possible spinoff. Ken, who's actually an MD in real life, said his medical knowledge came in handy when some of his castmates came down with food poising while they filmed in Thailand! Ed Helms was likewise thrilled to get a meatier part in the sequel. His small-screen project, The Office, aired its season finale yesterday, and Ed revealed that he doesn't know what's next, but Steve Carell's rumored replacement, Catherine Tate, is a pro. The screening brought out plenty of famous faces, like cute couple Kristen Bell and Dax Shephard, Mike Tyson, and a super-pregnant Alyssa Milano. Due Date: Survival of the Funniest

You know what kind of disaster movie Due Date is. It's not the kind where the world is about to end, but the kind where the main characters get into so many hijinks that you generally cringe in your seat for an hour and a half until they're in the clear. If you're lucky, there's comedy along the way that makes the pain worth it.

Robert Downey Jr. stars as Peter, an uptight man trying to get home in time for the birth of his first child. He's paired with Zach Galifianakis as Ethan, who gets himself and Peter kicked off their cross-country flight in the first act. Once Peter is stripped of his wallet, he desperately agrees to a road trip with Ethan, and they race against the clock from Atlanta to LA to get Peter into the delivery room with his wife.

Due Date hits its odd couple with every type of mishap: dangerous, awkward, illegal, and it doesn't let up until the final minutes of the movie. But is it worth the trip? Find out when you

Director Todd Phillips turns out a decent follow-up to last year's smash, The Hangover, but Due Date rarely reaches the same comedic heights as its predecessor. The jokes are funny, but not as funny as The Hangover. The scenarios are crazy, but not as crazy as The Hangover. You see where I'm going with this? Likewise, though that movie made Galifianakis an in-demand star, his character in Due Date is virtually identical to Alan, his character in The Hangover. It made me wonder why Phillips didn't just have Galifianakis reprise the role and call it a day.

On the subject of Galifianakis, an interesting thing happens in Due Date. Ethan is supposed to be the wacky one while Peter is his straight man, but this is a rare occurrence where the straight man is actually funnier. Whether it's his lines, his timing, or simply his presence, Downey outshines Galifianakis at every turn (and might I say, the man is aging quite well). He has the same kind of charisma that he has as Iron Man, but in a no-holds-barred rated-R slapstick, he's a force to be reckoned with.

Fans of raunchy comedy will find a lot to love in Due Date, but following Peter and Ethan to their final destination is often exhausting. However, if you love Downey or Galifianakis, I'd say to get in and strap on your seat belt - just put your patience aside for a while.
